American Storm Warren (201-PF-88, agency: Octagon Europe) had a great game in the last round for Maccabi H/H and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com National League Player of the Week award for round 19. The 28-year old power forward had a double-double of 35 points and twenty one rebounds, while his team beat Hap.R/G Givat. (#4, 12-7) 92-84. Maccabi H/H maintains the 8th position in Israeli National League. Maccabi H/H is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-9 record. Warren turned to be Maccabi H/H's top player in his first season with the team. Louisiana State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Warren is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.5ppg. Warren is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 10.9rpg) and averages solid 1.4bpg,2.4spg and 57.4% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old American Germain Jordan (198-C/F-86) of Galil Elion. Jordan impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 18 rebounds. It was enough for Galil Elion to edge the higher-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (#5, 11-8) by 3 points 80-77. This victory allowed Galil Elion to move up to 11th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-11 record. Jordan is a newcomer at Galil Elion and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
The third best performed player last round was American Rashad Madden (196-G-92) of Hap.R/G Givat. (#4). Madden showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, six rebounds and four assists in the last round. Despite Madden's great performance Hap.R/G Givat. lost 84-92 to the lower-ranked Maccabi H/H (#8, 10-9). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Hap.R/G Givat. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 12 victories and 7 lost games. Madden has a very solid season. In 19 games in Israel he scored 19.5ppg. He also has 6.3rpg, FGP: 58.8% and 3PT: 40.9%.
Other top performing players last week: 4. Terrence Watson (200-F-87) of Hapoel K/S - 20 points and 10 rebounds 5. Denzel Livingston (193-G-93) of Hapoel K/S - 21 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists 6.
