U20 GERMANY - U20 ISRAEL 93-73

Germany downed Israel 93-73 in Day Six of U20 EuroBasket Division B. Thanks to this win Germany stays in the race for one of the medals in Klatovy and also for promotion to Division A. They have 3-2 record sharing third place with Czech Republic. Israel faced with fifth loss in six games. Germany exploded at the beginning and after the breather to take the victory in this meeting. Quarters: 27-20, 27-27, 25-9, 14-17. Finja Schaake (179-F-92) was their key player with 25 points and 5 rebounds. Laura Hebecker (181-F-93) (7 rebs) and Sonja Greinacher (192-F/C-92, college: Gonzaga) (8 rebs) netted 15 and 14 points respectively. In Israel, Bar Gilinski (185-PF-92) was once again much better than the others with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Nof Kedem (170-SG-94) was their second scorer with 21 points. Germany will meet top-ranked Hungary on Friday. Israel will play against also No.1 Greece.

American Danielle Adams (185-F/C-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Maccabi R.Gan and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11. The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 30 points and sixteen rebounds, while her team beat Ramat Hasharon (#6, 3-6) 83-75.
