Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old American center Jessica Lawson (191-86, college: S.Florida). She played most recently at Elitzur Netanya (D1). While playing 19 games for the team from Netanya last season Lawson averaged 15.7ppg, 13.1rpg, 1.3apg and 1.0spg. A very spectacular season in his career as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League 2nd Team. It will be her second season in pro basketball.

American Danielle Adams (185-F/C-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Maccabi R.Gan and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11. The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 30 points and sixteen rebounds, while her team beat Ramat Hasharon (#6, 3-6) 83-75. The most exciting game of round 11 in the D1 took place in Rishon LeZion. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Hapoel Z/MM (2-8) to fifth ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (4-5) 67-65 on Monday evening. The game was dominated by American players.
