There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of National League and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory.

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Hod Hasharon (3-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Hapoel Afula (2-2) 81-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hod Hasharon. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Anthony Fisher (191-86, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian power forward Chukwudinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: N.E.T.) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds for Hod Hasharon. Hod Hasharon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Afula moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Elitzur Ramla and Hapoel Kazrin. Hod Hasharon at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Hapoel Afula is looking forward to face higher ranked Ironi Nahariya (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hod Hasharon will play against Maccabi Kiryat Bialik and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (3-1) against twelfth ranked Kiryat Tivon (1-3) on Tuesday night. Host Ironi Kiryat Ata was edged by Kiryat Tivon in a tough game in Kiryat Ata 78-81. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ironi Kiryat Ata. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Greg Murray (195-89, college: Point Loma) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 7 rebounds and Simon Farine who added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) responded with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Kiryat Tivon left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Hapoel K/S and Maccabi K/G. Ironi Kiryat Ata at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Kiryat Tivon will play against higher ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (#6) in Nes Ziyona in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ironi Kiryat Ata will play on the road against the league's leader Elitzur Yavne (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
Hapoel Kfar Saba's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Hapoel Kazrin (2-2) 89-83 on Tuesday. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by Brandon Brooks who scored that evening 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Even 24 points and 4 assists by Lawrence Westbrook did not help to save the game for Hapoel Kazrin. Hapoel Kfar Saba (1-3) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Maccabi K/G and Kiryat Tivon. Newly promoted Hapoel Kazrin dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Elitzur Ramla and Hapoel Afula. Hapoel Kfar Saba will meet league's second-placed Ironi Ramat Gan on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hapoel Kazrin will play against Elitzur Ramla (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
National League top team - Elitzur Yavne (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat fifth ranked Elitzur Ramla (2-2) 76-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Elitzur Ramla. Elad Hofman fired 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Elitzur Yavne have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Elitzur Ramla at the other side dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. Elitzur Yavne's next round opponent will be Ironi Kiryat Ata (#4) at home. Elitzur Ramla will play against Hapoel Kazrin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Beer Yaakov is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to seventh ranked Ironi Nahariya (3-1) 106-96 on Tuesday evening. It was a very good performance for Aviram Zelkovits who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!). Ironi Nahariya moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. The most impressive performance of 4th round was 35 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds by Brian Laing of Macc.B.Yaakov.
