We bring you last week's top performances from Israelis who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Alex Tyus
Alex Tyus
#1. This week's number one is an international center Alex Tyus (205-88, college: Florida, currently plays in Italy). He led Cantu to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Air Avellino (2-4) 79-67 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game. Tyus was MVP of the game. He scored 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 30 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Tyus' second season in pro basketball. Chebolletta Cantu (4-2) is placed third in the SerieA. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Tyus' first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season: 12.3ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.2bpg, 2FGP: 83.8%(31-37) and FT: 57.1% in the six games he played so far. Tyus is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the Israeli senior national team. Tyus used to play for Maccabi Ashdod in Israeli league.

Yuval Naimy

He was the major contributor in a Triumph Lyubertsy's victory against the closely-ranked Le Mans (0-1) 76-71 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. Naimy recorded 17 points. It was his first game for Triumph Lyubertsy this season. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. His team is placed second in the Eurocup. Naimy is in the roster of the Israeli senior national team.

Omri Casspi
Omri Casspi
