Elizur Ramla bring in Whitney Boddie (173-G-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Auburn), Allison Hightower (178-G-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: LSU) and Kaayla Chones (191-C-81, college: N.Carolina St.) until the end of the season. After the big changes in the roster, the Israeli team managed to add three foreign players.
Elitzur Ramla inked 24-year old American guard Allison Hightower. She played in the summer at Connecticut Sun (WNBA). In 39 games she averaged 6.9ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.6apg and 1.2spg. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. Hightower also played at Basket Landes in French LFB that season. In 11 games last season she had 8.2ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.1apg and 1.5spg. The other team she played that season for was Connecticut in WNBA. In 39 games she had 6.9ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.6apg and 1.2spg. She contributed to her team winning the regular season and make it to the final. Another team Hightower played shortly was Nantes Reze in French league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and she had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In four Eurocup games last year she had 5.5ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5spg. Hightower also played 25 games in French LFB where she had 9.6ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.7apg and 1.7spg. She also played 25 games in French LFB where she had 9.6ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.7apg and 1.7spg.Two years ago Hightower was drafted by Connecticut Sun (WNBA) in second round (15th overall).The former Louisiana State University star is in her third season in pro basketball. Hightower received WBCA All-NCAA D1 Honorable Mention award and All-SEC 1st Team award in 2009 and 2010 at her college time.
Elitzur Ramla landed 31-year old American center Kaayla Chones (191-81, college: North Carolina State). She played most recently at Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration Basket in French LFB league. In 16 games last season she averaged 9.1ppg and 5.5rpg. She helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. Chones also played at Jopisa Ciudad de Burgos (previous name Burgos) in Spanish LF2 that season. In 11 games last year she had 13.2ppg and 5.4rpg. The other team she played shortly was Cercle Jean Mace Bourges in LFB. She contributed to her team ending the regular season as at the second position in the league.
The previous (10-11) season Chones played at Navarra Pamplona in Spanish LFB. In 26 games she had very impressive stats: 15.0ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.2apg. It was a very successful season in her career as she was selected to All-Spanish LFB Honorable Mention.
Chones is a very experienced player. She has played also professionally in Hungary, Italy (Ribera), WNBA (Los Angeles Sparks), France (Union Hainaut and Pau Lacq Orthez) and Spain (Jopisa Burgos, Gran Canaria and Argon Uni Girona). Chones attended North Carolina State until 2004 and it will be her ninth season in pro basketball.
Whitney Boddie played last year for Sdent Helios VS Basket (Switzerland-LNA, starting five) and in EuroCup averaged 18.7ppg, 5.2rpg, 5.2apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 20.0%, FT: 81.4%. In Swiss League her stats read 15.7ppg, 5.8rpg, Assists-2 (5.5apg), Steals-2 (4.4spg), FGP: 56.3%, 3PT: 30.0%, FT: 78.6%.

American Danielle Adams (185-F/C-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Maccabi R.Gan and that's her to receive a Player of the Week award for round 11. The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 30 points and sixteen rebounds, while her team beat Ramat Hasharon (#6, 3-6) 83-75. The most exciting game of round 11 in the D1 took place in Rishon LeZion. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Hapoel Z/MM (2-8) to fifth ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (4-5) 67-65 on Monday evening. The game was dominated by American players.
