#1. This week's number one is an international point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85, currently plays in Eurocup). He contributed to an overtime Triumph Lyubertsy's victory against the closely-ranked Artland Dragons (1-2) 84-79 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game.
Naimy scored 8 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 22 minutes on the court.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Triumph Lyubertsy (3-0) is placed first in the Eurocup.
So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season.
There are only three games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
It's Naimy's first season with the team.
He has relatively good stats this year: 10.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.3apg, 3FGP: 42.1% in the three games he played so far.

#2. Second place goes to an international center Alex Tyus (205-88, college: Florida, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Italy. He could not help Cantu (2-4) to beat Un.Olimpija (2-4).
Tyus scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
But the sixth-placed Cantu was edged 81-79 on the road by the higher-ranked Un.Olimpija (#5) in the group A of Euroleague.
There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This season Tyus averages: 7.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 2FGP: 54.5% and FT: 54.5%.
He is a naturalized American.
Tyus is in the roster of the Israeli senior national team. He used to play for Maccabi Ashdod in Israeli league.
#3. The Israeli player who performed third best last week abroad was an international small forward Omri Casspi (204-88, currently plays in NBA). Casspi was not able to help the Cleveland Cavaliers (3-8) in their game against the Dallas Mavericks (7-6) in the NBA.
He recorded 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 13 minutes.
The Cleveland Cavaliers lost 95-103 in Dallas to the Mavericks.
It was Cavaliers' sixth consecutive loss in a row.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
This year Casspi's overall stats are: 3.7ppg, 2.4rpg, 2FGP: 33.3%, 3FGP: 36.4% and FT: 66.7% in the seven games.
He is also a member of the Israeli senior national team.
#4. Center Robert Rothbart (217-86, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Poland) contributed to a 2-point Start Gdynia's victory against the league outsider Rosa Radom (2-7) 63-61 in the Polish TBL last Saturday.
He scored 6 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in 19 minutes.
KS Start Gdynia (2-6) is placed second from the bottom (#11) in the TBL.
They ended the series of three consecutive loses.
Rothbart is currently sixth on the list of best rebounders and also on the list of best blockers (fourth place).
He has very reliable stats this year: 13.0ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.3bpg and 1.3spg in the seven games.
Rothbart has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Israeli.
He is also Israeli national team player.
#5. Former U20 international guard Oded Brandwein (186-88, agency: N.E.T., currently plays in Poland) managed to help Energa Czarni Slupsk to win against the league outsider Rosa Radom (2-7) 83-74 in the Polish TBL on Tuesday night.
Brandwein scored only 2 points and added 3 assists.
Energa Czarni Slupsk (7-2) is placed first in the TBL.
It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row.
Brandwein's total stats this season are: 5.0ppg and 1.3apg.
He is another player who holds two passports: Israeli and Polish.
Brandwein used to play for the Israeli U20 national team
four years ago.
#6. Center Jeremiah Kreisberg (208-92, currently plays college basketball in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the Yale in their game against the University of Vermont (0-0) in the NCAA.
Kreisberg recorded 7 points in 18 minutes.
The Yale lost 52-65 in Burlington, VT to the University of Vermont.
This year Kreisberg's total stats are: 8.4ppg, 1.8rpg and 4.4apg in the five games.
He is a naturalized American.
Kreisberg is U20 international player as he played for the Israeli team one years ago.
Strangely he has never played in Israel.
#7. U18 international guard Tom Maayan (185-93, currently studies in the States) contributed to a Seton Hall's victory against the Rhode Island University 60-55 in the NCAA in Sunday night's game.
Maayan recorded only 2 points, 5 assists and 4 steals.
The Seton Hall University has conference record this season.
Maayan has averaged so far 8.4ppg, 1.8rpg and 4.4apg.
He used to play for the Israeli U18 national team

#1.Jason Thomas (191-G-82, college: American, currently plays in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Basketligan could not help Boras Basket (9-3) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Thomas' good performance Boras Basket was edged 109-107 on the road by the lower-ranked 08 Stockholm (#6).
He recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 10 rebounds.
This season Thomas has relatively solid stats: 10.4ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.1apg and 1.1spg.
He is a naturalized American.
Thomas used to play for Ironi Kfar Hamaccabia Ramat Gan in Israeli league.
#2.Guy Aud (188-G-89, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a 3-point Finke Baskets' victory against the closely-ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (4-6) 74-71 in the German ProA (second division) in Sunday night's game.
Aud recorded 10 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 36 minutes.
Finke Baskets Paderborn (5-5) is placed ninth in the ProA.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
Aud is currently first on the list of best passers with 7.2apg.
He also averaged so far 13.6ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.3spg in the 10 games he played so far.
Aud has a dual citizenship: Israeli and German.
Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.
#3.Haran Shifman (183-G-84, currently plays in Poland) was the major contributor in Polonia's victory against the 12th-ranked SKK Siedlce (3-6) 59-50 in the Polish 1Liga (second division) last Saturday.
Shifman scored 12 points.
MKS Budimpex Polonia Przemysl (5-4) is placed sixth in the 1Liga.
But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen.
Shifman's total stats this season are: 8.4ppg, 1.8rpg and 4.4apg.

Maccabi Kiryat Gat (Winner League) sign 28-year old American power forward Curtis Kelly (205-115kg-88, college: Kansas State, agency: HMS). Hapoel T-A is placed at 3rd position in Israeli Winner League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Hapoel T-A won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Tucker had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hapoel T-A's top player in his first season with the team. University of Wisconsin graduate has very impressive stats this year. Tucker is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.5ppg) and averages solid 80.0% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old American forward Murphy Holloway (201-F-90) of Galil Gilboa. Holloway impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Galil Gilboa was edged by Maccabi Ashdod (2-0) 77-75. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Holloway is a newcomer at Galil Gilboa and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.5ppg (#5). He also registered 12.0 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was American Paul Delaney (188-PG-86, agency: Three Eye Sports) of top-ranked Hapoel Holon. Delaney scored 20 points and passed five assists. He was a key player of Hapoel Holon, leading his team to an 80-75 win against Ironi Nahariya (#10, 0-2). Hapoel Holon has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Delaney also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Delaney has a very solid season. In 2 games in Israel he scored 17.0ppg.

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. It will actually be his comeback to Rishon Le-Zion as he has played here before. The last season he played at Maccabi Rishon where in 39 Winner League games he averaged impressive 15.2ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.8apg, 1.8spg and 1.1bpg. Dawson helped them to win the Israeli Premier League title (twice). A very good season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League 2nd Team and to the All-Star Game. Dawson also played 17 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he had 11.2ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.9apg and 1.2spg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. Dawson has been also a member of Israeli international program for some years. He has regularly played for Israeli senior team since 2014 and previously for U20 National Team between 2012 and 2013. Dawson also represented Israel at the European Championships last year. His stats at that event were 6 games: 2.3ppg. Dawson's game is described as:
An explosive winger, really exciting to watch. He's very athletic, almost unstoppable when he drives to the basket, and seems to have huge upside yet.
