The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hod Hasharon as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hod Hasharon edged 11th ranked Kiryat Tivon at home 80-77. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kiryat Tivon won third quarter 13-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Nigerian power forward Chukwudinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: N.E.T.) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. Swingman Eran Asante Asare (194-88, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Greg Murray (195-89, college: Point Loma) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Ironi K-A. Kiryat Tivon at the other side dropped to the thirteenth place with five games lost. Kiryat Tivon will play next round against Ironi Nahariya trying to get back on the winning streak. Hod Hasharon will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Elitzur Yavne on the road.
Top ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (4-2) recorded its second loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Beer Yaakov (2-4) 84-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ironi Ramat Gan. It was a good game for American forward Jermaine Hall (196-80, college: Wagner, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Inan Iram contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Keith Ramsey (205-87, college: Missouri) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for Ironi Ramat Gan. Beer Yaakov moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Hapoel K/S and Elitzur Ramla. Ironi Ramat Gan at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Ironi Nahariya. Beer Yaakov will play against Hapoel Kfar Saba (#9) at home in the next round. Ironi Ramat Gan will play against Hapoel Afula (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Kiryat Ata between Ironi Kiryat Ata and Hapoel Kazrin. Third ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (5-1) got a very close home victory over 7th ranked Hapoel Kazrin (3-3). Ironi Kiryat Ata managed to escape with a 2-point win 83-81 on Tuesday evening. Ivory Clark scored 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Igal Nir with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Hapoel Kazrin's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ironi Kiryat Ata keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Hod Hasharon. Newly promoted Hapoel Kazrin dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Ironi Kiryat Ata will meet Elitzur Ramla (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Kazrin will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona in Nes Ziyona and hope to secure a win.

Bottom-ranked Maccabi Kiryat Bialik (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-79 loss to eighth ranked Ironi Nahariya (4-2) in Nahariya. It looked good early as Maccabi Kiryat Bialik took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ironi Nahariya had a 27-22 second period charge getting the lead and Maccabi Kiryat Bialik was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-96. Ironi Nahariya dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Maccabi Kiryat Bialik's 46. American guard Adam McCoy (195-86, college: N.Texas) notched 31 points to lead the effort and American-Puerto Rican Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St., agency: Global Sports Plaza) supported him with 21 points and 8 rebounds. A very close game took place in Kiryat Ata between Ironi Kiryat Ata and Hapoel Kazrin. Third ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (5-1) got a very close home victory over 7th ranked Hapoel Kazrin (3-3).
