National League round 7 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Hod Hasharon (5-2) against third ranked Elitzur Yavne (5-1) 75-68 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hod Hasharon. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Elitzur Yavne made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Liberian-American Pele Paelay (193-84, college: Co.Carolina, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Elad Hofman (192-85) contributed with 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Nigerian power forward Chukwudinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: N.E.T.) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds for Hod Hasharon. Elitzur Yavne moved-up to second place, which they share with Ironi Nes-Ziona. Hod Hasharon at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Ironi Nahariya. They were replaced at the leadership position by Ironi K-A. Hod Hasharon will play next round against Hapoel Kazrin trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Elitzur Yavne will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona in Nes Ziyona.
Maccabi Kiryat Bialik's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Maccabi K/G (1-5) 100-95. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward Dallis Joyner (201-90, college: Stony Brook) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Matt Shamis helped adding 34 points (!!!) (made all of his twelve free throws !!!). At the losing side forward Will Harris (198-86, college: Albany) responded with 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Maccabi Kiryat Bialik (1-6) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Kiryat Tivon. It was Maccabi K/G's third loss in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with five games lost. Maccabi Kiryat Bialik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Maccabi K/G will play at home against Hapoel Afula (#6) to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Kazrin supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (5-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Hapoel Kazrin (3-4). Ironi Nes-Ziona smashed Hapoel Kazrin 94-58 on Tuesday. It was an exceptional evening for Gabe Blair who led the winners and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Lawrence Westbrook came up with 25 points for Hapoel Kazrin in the defeat. Newly promoted Hapoel Kazrin keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Hapoel K/S. Hapoel Kazrin will play against Hod Hasharon (#4) and hope to secure a win.
The game in Afula was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (4-3) played at the court of seventh ranked Hapoel Afula (4-2). Hapoel Afula defeated Ironi Ramat Gan 90-77. Kiryat Tivon - Ironi Nahariya 70-84

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Ironi Nahariya (5-2) beat on the road 13th ranked Kiryat Tivon (1-6) 84-70. The game was mostly controlled by Ironi Nahariya.
