Paul Stoll
Maccabi Bazan Haifa won Maccabi Ashdod today 80-74 in a postponement match from round 6. Ashdod showed up to this match without Kenny Gabriel (203-F-89, college: Auburn) & Chris Allen (190-G-88, college: Iowa St.) who are no longer the club's players due to the security situation and without Mardy Collins (198-G-84, college: Temple) who signed but still didn't arrive to Israel. Maccabi Bazan Haifa on the other hand, looking very good and they occupy the 2nd place so far with five wins and two loses. The main attraction was the point guard, Paul Stoll (180-PG-85), who scored 25 pts with amazing performance behind the arc with 7 from 13 attempts. The game was very close until the 3rd period, when Haifa took the lead 57-46, but Moshe Mizrahi (202-F-80, agency: Avi Zilberman) and Guni Israeli (185-PG-84, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) kept Ashdod alive. In the last period, Diamon Simpson (201-F-87, college: St.Mary's, CA) already decrease the gap to 3 points lead, 69-72, but Corry Carr (192-SF-75, college: Texas Tech) and Gal Mekel (190-PG-88, college: Wichita St.) in his debut, close the deal with good free throws, 74-80 to Haifa at the end.

Haifa's scorers:
Stoll 25 pts, Calathes 14 + 7 rbs, Smith 13 pts + 6 ast, Carr 11 pts, Kozikaro 10 pts + 9 rbs, Mekel 5 pts, Thomas 2

Ashdod's scorers:
