There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Ironi Nes-Ziona defeated 10th ranked Elitzur Ramla in Nes Ziyona 79-66. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ironi Nes-Ziona made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Bilal Benn (196-86, college: Niagara) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists and naturalized Welsh forward Tal Michael Dunne (197-87) who added 18 points and 17 rebounds during the contest. Ironi Nes-Ziona's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, college: S.Carolina) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds. Ironi Nes-Ziona (7-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Elitzur Ramla lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with six games lost. They share the position with Maccabi K/G and Macc.B.Yaakov. Elitzur Ramla will play next round against Hod Hasharon trying to get back on the winning streak. Ironi Nes-Ziona will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata on the road.
Very significant was Elitzur Yavne's (#4) 38-point road victory against 5th ranked Ironi Nahariya 103-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ironi Nahariya. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The winners were led by American forward Monta McGhee (198-79, college: Lewis, agency: I.D.S. Law) who scored that evening 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Noam Matalon supported him with 25 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Even 21 points by American guard Adam McCoy (195-86, college: N.Texas) did not help to save the game for Ironi Nahariya. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Elitzur Yavne (6-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Ironi Nahariya at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Ironi Ramat Gan. Elitzur Yavne will play against Maccabi K/G (#12) in Kiryat Gat in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ironi Nahariya will play on the road against Hapoel Kazrin (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (6-2) against eighth ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (4-4) on Tuesday night. Hapoel Kfar Saba have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 4-4 record. Loser Ironi Kiryat Ata keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Hapoel Kfar Saba will meet higher ranked Hapoel Afula (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ironi Kiryat Ata will play against the league's leader Ironi Nes-Ziona and will have a slim chance for a victory.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Nes Ziyona. Second ranked host Ironi Nes-Ziona (7-1) smashed one of their biggest challengers Elitzur Yavne (6-2) 98-78.
