Here is the weekly review of the top performing Israeli players, who play currently abroad.

Omri Casspi
Omri Casspi
#1. This week's number one is an international small forward Omri Casspi (204-88, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Cleveland Cavaliers (4-15) in their last game. Despite Casspi's good performance the Cleveland Cavaliers were edged in a double overtime (!!!) 118-117 on the road by the Portland Trail Blazers. He scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. It was Cavaliers' third consecutive loss in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Casspi averages: 5.9ppg, 2.6rpg, 2FGP: 36.7%, 3FGP: 48.6%(18-37) and FT: 56.5% in the 15 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Israeli senior national team.

Alex Tyus
Alex Tyus
#2. Second place goes to an international center Alex Tyus (205-88, college: Florida, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian SerieA. Tyus was not able to help Cantu (6-4) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Cantu was edged in an overtime 76-74 in Caserta by the lower-ranked Juvecaserta (#10). Tyus recorded 11 points and blocked 2 shots. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Tyus' first year with the team. His overall stats this season are: 9.3ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.1bpg, 2FGP: 73.1%(38-52) and FT: 54.8%. Tyus is a naturalized American. He is in the roster of the Israeli senior national team. Tyus used to play for Maccabi Ashdod in Israeli league.

Yuval Naimy
Yuval Naimy
#3. The Israeli player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85, currently plays in Eurocup). He managed to help Triumph Lyubertsy to win against the closely-ranked VEF Riga (2-3) 82-77 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. Naimy recorded 5 points and added 3 passes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Triumph Lyubertsy (5-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. So far his team won all five games in the Regular Season. They will play only one more game in the Eurocup Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Naimy's first season with the team. His overall stats this year are: 8.2ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 27.8%, 3FGP: 34.6% and FT: 66.7%. Naimy is also a member of the Israeli senior national team.

Center Robert Rothbart (217-86, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Poland) was not able to secure a victory for Start Gdynia (3-7) in their game against Anwil (6-4) in the Polish TBL, despite his very good performance last Saturday. He was the top scorer with 16 points. Rothbart also added 4 rebounds in 25 minutes. But Start Gdynia lost 69-76 at home to the higher-ranked (#7) Anwil. Rothbart belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #6) and also on the list of best blockers (fifth place). He has very reliable stats this year: 13.9ppg, 7.3rpg, 1.2bpg and 1.2spg in the nine games. Rothbart has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Israeli. He is also Israeli national team player.

Halperin scored only 4 points and added 5 assists in 24 minutes. Bayern Muenchen lost 70-82 in Berlin to the much higher-ranked (#3) ALBA. It was Bayern Muenchen's third consecutive loss in a row. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Halperin's overall stats are: 6.9ppg, 2.1rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2spg in the 11 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Israeli National Team roster.
