The game between third ranked Elitzur Yavne (6-3) and twelfth ranked Maccabi K/G (3-6) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. Elitzur Yavne was defeated by Maccabi K/G in Yavne 89-74. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Maccabi K/G's pressure prevailed and they won that period 25-17 extending their advantage to 15 points. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Elitzur Yavne helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Lenny Daniel (203-87, college: CS Northridge) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Akeem Wright (200-84, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals.
