All the Israeli side Holon had to do on their trip to Port of Antwerp Giants to clinch qualification was to win or avoid losing by more than 26 points to the Belgians. Antwerp Giants won Hapoel Holon 93:74, while the latter advanced to the next stage. Three teams finished with 4-2 records, while it was not enough for the Belgian team due to the total difference.
Antwerp Giants started the game with 23-20 and added 22-20 in the second period. Hapoel Holon even took the lead in the third period and led 1 point after 30 minutes. The intrigue however was not over in the game as the hosts erupted with an enormous 36-16 run but won the game only by 19 points.
Bryan Hopkins (183-PG-83, college: SMU) erupted with 42 points to lead all the winners. Jean-Marc Mwema (195-F-89, agency: Court Side) notched 15 and Jason Love (206-F/C-87, college: Xavier) scored 10. Jerome Dyson (191-G-87, college: Connecticut) finished the game with 17 points in defeat, while Frank Hassell (203-F-88, college: ODU) posted 15. Tyler Smith and Zack Rosen (185-PG-89, college: Pennsylvania) ended up with 13 points each in a loss.
