Darko Planinic agreed terms with Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv - Dec 22, 2012

Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv (Winner League) inked 22-year old Croatian international center Darko Planinic (211-90). He played recently at Siroki WWin in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. The last season Planinic played for HKK Siroki WWin (Adriatic League). In 14 games this season he recorded very impressive stats: 16.0ppg and 5.9rpg. He won Bosnia and Herzegovina League championship title for four years in a row (between 2009 and 2012) and the cup for two years in a row (2011 and 2012). Planinic received Eurobasket.com All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League Center of the Year award in 2012. He has been also a member of Croatian international program for some years. Planinic played for Senior National Team this year and two years ago for U22 National Team. He represented Croatia at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 this year. His stats at that event were 7 games: 4.0ppg.

Netanya have extended the contracts of Yehu Orland (193-G-81, agency: Ronsport) and Eliran Gueta (199-F-75, agency: Gross Zeev ISA, college: Tyler JC).
Yehu Orland signed a new two-year deal with the team. The guard joined Netanya back in 2011. Last season he posted 10.4 points, 1.9 boards and 1.0 assist per game for Netanya.
