Winner League is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 11 rounds left. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The game between third ranked Hapoel Eilat (7-4) and fifth ranked Hapoel J-M (6-5) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Hapoel Eilat was defeated by Hapoel J-M in a tough game in Jerusalem 79-85. Hapoel Eilat trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 28-21 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 79-85 at the end of the game. Hapoel J-M forced 23 Hapoel Eilat turnovers. It was a great evening for American-Georgian point guard Jacob Pullen (185-89, college: Kansas St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 assists. The former international Raviv Limonad (191-84) helped adding 19 points. American guard Scotty Hopson (200-89, college: Tennessee) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds. Hapoel J-M maintains fifth place with 6-5 record. Newly promoted Hapoel Eilat keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Netanya. Hapoel J-M are looking forward to face league's leader Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Eilat will play on the road against Ironi Ashkelon and is hoping to win this game.
Bottom-ranked Maccabi Ashdod managed to get a third victory. This time they won against fifth-ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv 72-67. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for forward Diamon Simpson (201-87, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Jamie Skeen accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds. Curtis Kelly (205-88, college: Kansas St.) came up with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks for Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the defeat. Maccabi Ashdod (3-8) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Galil Gilboa and Hapoel Holon. Hapoel Tel-Aviv lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Maccabi Rishon and Elizur Ashkelon. Maccabi Ashdod will play against higher ranked GreenTops Netanya (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Bnei Hasharon in Hod Hasharon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (10-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-7) in Tel-Aviv 113-85. The best player for the winners was Devin Smith who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Romel Beck produced 32 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maccabi T-A have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Maccabi T-A will meet Hapoel J-M (#5) in the next round. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#6) and hope to secure a win.
The game in Rishon Le-Zion was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Maccabi Haifa (8-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Maccabi Rishon (5-6). Maccabi Haifa managed to secure a 6-point victory 79-73. Donta Smith orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Maccabi Haifa moved-up to second place. Maccabi Rishon at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Maccabi Haifa's next round opponent will be Hapoel Holon (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi Rishon will play against Galil Gilboa (#10) in Rosh Pina.
Tenth-ranked Hapoel Holon (3-8) gave a tough game to fourth ranked GreenTops Netanya (7-4) on Sunday. GreenTops Netanya managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a great evening for Marco Killingsworth who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. GreenTops Netanya moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel Eilat. Hapoel Holon lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. GreenTops Netanya will face bottom-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Holon will play against the league's second-placed Maccabi Haifa.

In the last game of round 11 Galil Gilboa lost to Elizur Ashkelon on the opponent's court 69-82.

Hapoel J-M - Hapoel Eilat 85-79

Elizur Ashkelon - Galil Gilboa 82-69

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Galil Gilboa (3-8) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Ironi Ashkelon (5-6) 82-69 on Monday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-69. Ironi Ashkelon made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a great evening for forward Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Marcus Moore (198-80, college: Washington St., agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: KMG Sports Management) responded with 13 points and 6 assists and forward Brandon Hunter (201-80, college: Ohio) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi Haifa had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American Donta Smith (201-83, college: SE Illinois JC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American-Greek swingman Pat Calathes (208-85, college: St.Joseph's) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (10-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-7) in Tel-Aviv 113-85. The game without a history. Maccabi T-A led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They were well out of reach of Bnei Hasharon shooting 70.5 percent from the field and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Maccabi T-A had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Maccabi T-A especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Tenth-ranked Hapoel Holon (3-8) gave a tough game to fourth ranked GreenTops Netanya (7-4) on Sunday. GreenTops Netanya managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Hapoel Holon was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. GreenTops Netanya had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a great evening for power forward Marco Killingsworth (203-82, college: Indiana, agency: Avi Zilberman) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Deron Washington (201-85, college: Virginia Tech) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Frank Hassell (203-88, college: ODU) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Tyler Smith (201-86, college: Tennessee) scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four GreenTops Netanya and five Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. GreenTops Netanya moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel Eilat. Hapoel Holon lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. GreenTops Netanya will face bottom-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Holon will play against the league's second-placed Maccabi Haifa.
