Marcus Dove
American forward Marcus Dove (206-F-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for Elizur Ashkelon, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Galil Gilboa (#10, 3-8) 82-69. Elizur Ashkelon is placed at 7th position in Israeli Winner League. Elizur Ashkelon is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-6 record. Dove turned to be Elizur Ashkelon's top player in his first season with the team. Marcus Dove averages this season 15.8ppg and 8.1rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Julian Wright (203-F-87) of Maccabi Rishon. Wright had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Maccabi Rishon lost that game 73-79 to the higher-ranked Maccabi Haifa (#2, 8-3). This loss caused Maccabi Rishon to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-6 record. Wright is a newcomer at Maccabi Rishon, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.4ppg (#7). He also registered 9.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American swingman Romel Beck (201-G/F-82, agency: Interperformances) of Bnei Hasharon (#9). Beck got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. Despite Beck's great performance Bnei Hasharon lost 85-113 to the higher-ranked Maccabi T-A (#1, 10-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Bnei Hasharon not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Beck could try to bring Bnei Hasharon's a little bit higher in the standings. Beck has individually a great season in Israel. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (best scorer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marco Killingsworth (203-F/C-82) of Netanya - 18 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Diamon Simpson (201-F-87) of Maccabi Ashdod - 22 points and 10 rebounds
6. Marcus Moore (198-G-80) of Elizur Ashkelon - 22 points and 6 rebounds
7. Eli Holman (208-F/C-89) of Hapoel Eilat - 15 points and 10 rebounds
8. Lior Eliyahu (206-SF-85) of Maccabi T-A - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Devin Smith (196-G/F-83) of Maccabi T-A - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Deron Washington (201-G/F-85) of Netanya - 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
