American forward Charde Houston (185-F-86, agency: LBM Management) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Maccabi Ashdod, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat Ramat Hasharon (#3, 6-4) 76-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Maccabi Ashdod to consolidate first place in the Israeli D1. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Maccabi Ashdod keeps perfect 10 -0 record. Houston turned to be Maccabi Ashdod's top player in her first season with the team. Former University of Connecticut star has very solid stats this year. Houston is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.4ppg) and averages impressive 2.8spg,52.0% FGP and 44.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 22-year old American Christine Flores (190-F-90, agency: Ronsport) of Galil Elion. Flores had a very good evening with a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Galil Elion lost that game 58-69 to the higher-ranked Elitzur Ramla (#2, 7-3). Galil Elion managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Flores is a newcomer at Galil Elion, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Rebekah Gardner (185-G-90) of Hap.Petah Tikva (#8). Gardner showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the last round. Despite Gardner's great performance Hap.Petah Tikva lost 68-82 to the higher-ranked Elitzur Holon (#5, 4-6). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Hap.Petah Tikva not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gardner could try to bring Hap.Petah Tikva's a little bit higher in the standings. Gardner has individually a great season in Israel. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (5th best). She also has 2.2spg, FGP: 50.5% and 3PT: 50.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Karima Christmas (182-G/F-89) of Maccabi R.Hen - 16 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Katia Levitsky (190-PF-85) of Elitzur Ramla - 17 points and 12 rebounds
6. Alexis Gray-Lawson (173-PG-87) of Ramat Hasharon - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Ortal Oren (175-SG-84) of Elitzur Ramla - 7 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Jenna Smith (191-C-88) of Maccabi R.Hen - 14 points and 11 rebounds
9. Jessica Lawson (191-C-86) of H.R. Le-Zion - 8 points and 9 rebounds
10. Porsche Poole (172-PG-89) of Hap.Petah Tikva - 24 points and 2 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
