Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

Sixth-ranked Elitzur Holon (4-7) made lots of trouble for top-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (11-0) on Monday. Maccabi Ashdod managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Elitzur Holon. The hosts trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 47-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Maccabi Ashdod made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Charde Houston (185-86, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Ashley Shields (180-85, college: SW Tenn.St.CC) chipped in 15 points and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Kerri Gardin (186-84, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Undefeated Maccabi Ashdod have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-0 record. Elitzur Holon at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Hap.Petah Tikva. Maccabi Ashdod are looking forward to face league's second-placed Elitzur Ramla on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Elitzur Holon will play against Maccabi Ramat Hen (#3) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Important game to mention about took place in Ramat Hen. Fourth ranked Maccabi Ramat Hen (6-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Ramat Hasharon (6-5) 65-63 in the fight for the third place. It was a good game for American swingman Karima Christmas (182-89, college: Duke) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Shiri Porat contributed with 18 points and 4 steals for the winners. American forward Kaili McLaren (188-88, college: Connecticut) replied with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for Ramat Hasharon. Maccabi Ramat Hen moved-up to third place. Ramat Hasharon at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Maccabi Ramat Hen will play against Elitzur Holon (#7) on the road in the next round. Ramat Hasharon will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Elitzur Ramla (7-4) against eighth ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (4-7) on Monday night. Visiting Elitzur Ramla was defeated by Hap.Petah Tikva in a tough game in Petah Tikva 66-75. Worth to mention a great performance of Rebekah Gardner who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Allison Hightower with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Hap.Petah Tikva moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Elitzur Holon. Loser Elitzur Ramla keeps the second position with four games lost. Hap.Petah Tikva will meet Elitzur Netanya (#8) on the road in the next round. Elitzur Ramla will play against the league's leader Maccabi Ashdod (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 12 Elitzur Netanya was defeated by Galil Elion in Kfar Blum 101-93.

The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 45-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game.
