Nicolo Melli (205-PF-91) was pivotal with 27 points and 14 rebounds for the German side. Brose Baskets grabbed a 20:16 lead after the opening frame. The visitors maintained the pressure throughout the second quarter. Brose Baskets piled up a comfortable 46:30 halftime advantage. Maccabi tried to change the complexion of the game in the third term. The hosts picked up the defensive intensity and cut the distance at 10-point mark heading into the fourth quarter. But Brose Baskets sank 23 points in the final period and cruised to the victory. In the team's last game Wyatt had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hapoel Holon's top player in his first season with the team. Temple University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Wyatt is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.4ppg. Wyatt is in league's top in assists (7th best: 4.9apg) and averages solid 55.4% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Tony Mitchell (203-F-92) of Maccabi Haifa. He is American forward in his first season at Maccabi Haifa. In the last game Mitchell recorded impressive double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Maccabi Haifa was edged by the higher-ranked Maccabi T-A (#1, 8-1) 83-81. This loss caused Maccabi Haifa to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Mitchell is a newcomer at Maccabi Haifa and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Javon McCrea (201-F-92) of Maccabi Rishon (#6). McCrea scored 23 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). Despite McCrea's great performance Maccabi Rishon lost 59-79 to Hapoel J-M (5-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Maccabi Rishon needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 4 lost games. McCrea has a very solid season. In 9 games in Israel he scored 11.9ppg. He also has 6.0rpg and FGP: 68.2%.
