Lawson
26-year old center Jessica Lawson (191-C-86) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for H.R. Le-Zion and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
She had a double-double of 34 points and 22 rebounds, while her team edged out Ramat Hasharon (#4, 6-6) 81-77. H.R. Le-Zion maintains the 9th position in Israeli D1. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 8 games and recorded just three victories. Lawson turned to be H.R. Le-Zion's top player in her first season with the team. University of South Florida graduate has very impressive stats this year. Lawson leads league in rebounds with 13.7rpg. Lawson is in league's top in and averages solid 52.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Vanessa Gidden (193-C/F-85, agency: Ronsport) of Hap.Petah Tikva. She is Jamaican in her first season at Hap.Petah Tikva. In the last game Gidden recorded impressive double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds. Of course she lead Hap.Petah Tikva to another comfortable win 97-82 over slightly lower-ranked Elitzur Netanya (#8, 3-8) being unquestionably team leader. Hap.Petah Tikva's 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-7 record. Gidden is a newcomer at Hap.Petah Tikva and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Hap.Petah Tikva's star - guard Rebekah Gardner (185-G-90). Gardner showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and seven assists in the last round. She was another key player of Hap.Petah Tikva, helping her team with a 97-82 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Elitzur Netanya (#8, 3-8). The chances of Hap.Petah Tikva ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gardner could help Hap.Petah Tikva to bring them higher in the standings. Gardner has a great season in Israel. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.6ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 8.7rpg (8th best). She also has 2.2spg, FGP: 50.8% and 3PT: 45.8%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Whitney Boddie (173-G-87) of Elitzur Holon - 25 points and 3 assists
5. Karima Christmas (182-G/F-89) of Maccabi R.Hen - 19 points and 12 rebounds
6. Porsche Poole (172-PG-89) of Hap.Petah Tikva - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists
7. Shey Peddy (170-PG-88) of H.R. Le-Zion - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Alexis Hornbuckle (180-G-85) of Elitzur Holon - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Allison Hightower (178-G-88) of Elitzur Ramla - 19 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Danielle Adams (185-F/C-89) of Maccabi Ashdod - 18 points and 13 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
