American guard Rebekah Gardner (185-G-90) had a great game in the last round for Hap.Petah Tikva, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds, while her team crushed Galil Elion (#6, 5-7) with 18-point margin 91-73. Hap.Petah Tikva is placed at 5th position in Israeli D1. Hap.Petah Tikva is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-7 record. In the team's last game Gardner had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She turned to be Hap.Petah Tikva's top player in her first season with the team. Former Univ.of Calif.at Los Angeles star has very solid stats this year. Gardner is in league's top in points (2nd best: 19.5ppg), rebounds (6th best: 8.9rpg) and averages impressive 2.1spg,51.6% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 22-year old American Courtney Hurt (185-F-90) of Elitzur Netanya. Hurt had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Elitzur Netanya lost that game 88-93 to league's leader Maccabi Ashdod (#1, 13-0). This loss caused Elitzur Netanya to slide to the very bottom (9) position in the standings. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Elitzur Netanya managed to get this year. Hurt is a newcomer at Elitzur Netanya, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.5ppg (#1). She also registered 8.9 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Danielle Adams (185-F/C-89) of league's top team Maccabi Ashdod. Adams scored 23 points and grabbed ten rebounds. She was a key player of Maccabi Ashdod, leading her team to a 93-88 win against the lower-ranked Elitzur Netanya (#9, 3-9). Maccabi Ashdod have amazing season winning all 13 games without a single defeat. Adams turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Adams has a very solid season. The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
