We bring you last week's top performances from Israelis who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Alex Tyus
Alex Tyus
#1. This week's number one is an international center Alex Tyus (205-88, college: Florida, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian SerieA. He could not help Cantu (11-5) in their last game. Despite Tyus' very good performance Cantu lost 79-83 on the road to the lower-ranked (#7) Umana Venezia. He was the top scorer with 15 points. Tyus also added 5 rebounds in 26 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. It was Cantu's first loss after five consecutive victories. It's Tyus' first year with the team. Tyus has relatively good stats this season: 10.1ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.1bpg, 2FGP: 75.8%(69-91) and FT: 61.5% in the 16 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Tyus is currently a member of the Israeli senior national team. He used to play for Maccabi Ashdod in Israeli league.

Yuval Naimy
Yuval Naimy
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85, currently plays in Eurocup), who plays in Russia. Naimy was not able to help Triumph Lyubertsy (0-3) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Triumph Lyubertsy was defeated 86-79 in Balikesir by the second-ranked Banvit BK in the group I of Eurocup. Naimy was the second best scorer with 20 points. He also added 3 assists. There are only three games left until the end of the Eurocup Top 16. So now every game will be critical. This season Naimy has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 35.3%. He is in the roster of the Israeli senior national team.

Robert Rothbart
Robert Rothbart

Rothbart was not able to secure a victory for Start Gdynia (5-12) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Start Gdynia lost 67-80 in Zielona Gora to the second-ranked Stelmet ZG. Rothbart was the top scorer with 21 points. He also added 9 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 26 minutes. Rothbart has reliable stats this year: 13.4ppg, 7.3rpg, 2FGP: 56.1%(87-155) and FT: 62.5% in the 16 games. He has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Israeli. Ex-Hapoel Galil Elyon player is also a member of the Israeli senior national team.

He scored only 2 points. The Cleveland Cavaliers have not so impressive 11-32 record this season. This year Casspi averages: 4.4ppg and 2.4rpg. He plays currently for the Israeli national team.

Jeremiah Kreisberg
Jeremiah Kreisberg
