The Regular Season in D1 is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds.

The game between third ranked Ramat Hasharon (6-7) and seventh ranked Elitzur Holon (6-8) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Ramat Hasharon was crushed by Elitzur Holon in Holon 76-54. The game without a history. Elitzur Holon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ramat Hasharon to just 6 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Ramat Hasharon 43-28 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Avery Warley (190-87, college: Liberty) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import guard Alexis Hornbuckle (180-85, college: Tennessee) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who recorded 15 points. Elitzur Holon moved-up to sixth place. Ramat Hasharon lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Maccabi R.Hen and Hap.Petah Tikva. Elitzur Holon will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ramat Hasharon will play at home against the league's second-placed Elitzur Ramla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Elitzur Netanya managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of three consecutive loses. This time they won against fourth-ranked Maccabi Ramat Hen 75-71. It was a good game for American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Maurita Reid contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Khadijah Rushdan (175-88, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds for Maccabi Ramat Hen. Elitzur Netanya (4-9) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with H.R. Le-Zion. Maccabi Ramat Hen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Ramat Hasharon and Hap.Petah Tikva. Elitzur Netanya will play against bottom-ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#9) on the road in the next round. Maccabi Ramat Hen will play against Galil Elion (#7) in Kfar Blum and hopes to get back on the winning track.

In the last game of round 15 H.R. Le-Zion was defeated by Elitzur Ramla in a road game 88-70.
The best stats of 15th round was 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists by Tamara James of Elitzur Ramla.


Galil Elion - Maccabi Ashdod 59-80

Undefeated leader Maccabi Ashdod delivered the fourteenth consecutive victory on Monday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Galil Elion (5-8) 80-59 in Kfar Blum. Maccabi Ashdod dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Galil Elion's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Charde Houston (185-86, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Ashley Shields (180-85, college: SW Tenn.St.CC) helped adding 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Christine Flores (190-90, college: Missouri, agency: Ronsport) with 13 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and point guard Sydney Carter (167-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: Ronsport) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi Ashdod (14-0) have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 14 victories in a row. Galil Elion at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. There was no surprise when 8th ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (4-9) was defeated on the road by second ranked Elitzur Ramla (9-5) 88-70 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Elitzur Ramla. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion managed to win third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Elitzur Ramla dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion's 30 and made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Elitzur Ramla looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion's players. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for swingman Tamara James (178-84, college: Miami, FL) who led her team to a victory scoring 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
