National League top team - Ironi Nes-Ziona (13-2) added another victory to their record on Tuesday. This time they beat tenth ranked Beer Yaakov (5-10) 87-80. Beer Yaakov was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 34-25 charge of Ironi Nes-Ziona, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 22 Beer Yaakov turnovers and outrebounded them 44-33 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Beer Yaakov helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for power forward Gabe Blair (203-87, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 18 rebounds. Swingman Bilal Benn (196-86, college: Niagara) helped adding 14 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Joshua Alexander (193-87, college: SF Austin) with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Ironi Nes-Ziona have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-2 record. Beer Yaakov at the other side dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Hapoel K/S and Elitzur Ramla. Ironi Nes-Ziona are looking forward to face Hapoel Afula (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Beer Yaakov will play against Hod Hasharon (#5) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
The game in Ramat Gan was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Hod Hasharon (11-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (8-7). Hod Hasharon defeated Ironi Ramat Gan 92-82. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian power forward Chukwudinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: N.E.T.) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Eran Asante Asare accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Itay Grinboim (193-85, agency: Avi Zilberman) came up with 19 points and 6 assists for Ironi Ramat Gan in the defeat. Hod Hasharon moved-up to third place, which they share with Elitzur Yavne and Hapoel Afula. Ironi Ramat Gan lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Hod Hasharon will play against Beer Yaakov (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ironi Ramat Gan will play against the league's second-placed Ironi Nahariya and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Fourth ranked Elitzur Yavne (11-4) beat at home 9th ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (5-10) by 12 points 98-86, which is the biggest margin this round on Tuesday night. The best player for the winners was Brian Laing who scored 28 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Adam McCoy who recorded 35 points (!!!). Elitzur Yavne have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Hod Hasharon and Hapoel Afula. Hapoel Kfar Saba lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Elitzur Ramla and Macc.B.Yaakov. Elitzur Yavne will meet Hapoel Kazrin (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hapoel Kfar Saba will play against Maccabi K/G in Kiryat Gat and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 15: Hapoel Kazrin won against Kiryat Tivon on the opponent's court 87-83. Bottom-ranked Maccabi K/B unfortunately lost to Elitzur Ramla in a home game 79-87. Ironi K-A recorded a loss to Hapoel Afula on the road 76-83. Maccabi K/G was defeated by Ironi Nahariya on its own court 95-99.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 24 points and 12 rebounds by Johndre Jefferson of Elitzur Ramla.



Kiryat Tivon - Hapoel Kazrin 83-87

Very expected game when 12th ranked Kiryat Tivon (4-11) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Hapoel Kazrin (7-8) 87-83 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 30-24 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel Kazrin had a 34-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Gary Johnson (198-88, college: Texas) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 20 rebounds. Naturalized Russian power forward Anton Kazarnovski (205-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Taylor Darby (203, college: Pepperdine) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Canadian guard Simon Farine (188-87) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Five Hapoel Kazrin and four Kiryat Tivon players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Hapoel Kazrin maintains eighth place with 7-8 record. Loser Kiryat Tivon keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Hapoel Kazrin will meet at home higher ranked Elitzur Yavne (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kiryat Tivon will play against Elitzur Ramla (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The game was mostly controlled by Elitzur Yavne. Hapoel Kfar Saba managed to win second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. His fellow American import forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, college: S.Carolina) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds.
