Bottom-ranked Elitzur Netanya managed to get a fifth victory on Monday night. This time they won against fourth-ranked Ramat Hasharon 79-75. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 26-16 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Elitzur Netanya made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and Jamaican-American point guard Maurita Reid (173-85, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. American point guard Alexis Gray-Lawson (173-87, college: California) responded with 25 points and 4 assists. Elitzur Netanya (5-10) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with H.R. Le-Zion. Ramat Hasharon lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Elitzur Netanya is looking forward to face higher ranked Elitzur Holon (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ramat Hasharon will play against Galil Elion in Kfar Blum and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Kfar Blum supposed to be also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (5-10) played at the court of eighth ranked Galil Elion (6-9). Forward Adaora Elonu (185-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: Ronsport) nailed 22 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and Christine Flores accounted for 19 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). point guard Shey Peddy (170-88, college: Temple) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion in the defeat. Galil Elion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion at the other side dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. They share it with Elitzur Netanya. Galil Elion will play against Ramat Hasharon (#5) on the road in the next round. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion will play against Hap.Petah Tikva (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Petah Tikva was also quite interesting. Third ranked Maccabi Ramat Hen (8-7) played at the court of 5th ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (6-9). Maccabi Ramat Hen defeated Hap.Petah Tikva 71-59 on Monday. The best player for the winners was Jenna Smith who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Rebekah Gardner produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the hosts. Maccabi Ramat Hen maintains third place with 8-7 record having seven points less than leader Maccabi Ashdod. Loser Hap.Petah Tikva dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Maccabi Ramat Hen will meet at home league's leader Maccabi Ashdod in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 17 Elitzur Holon lost to Elitzur Ramla on the opponent's court 65-69.

Very expected game when 6th ranked Elitzur Holon (6-9) was defeated on the road by second ranked Elitzur Ramla (11-5) 69-65 on Monday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Elitzur Ramla forced 24 Elitzur Holon turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court also this time.
