Here is the weekly review of the top performing Israeli players, who play currently abroad.

Shay Doron
Shay Doron
#1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Shay Doron (175-85, college: Maryland, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TKBL. She could not help one of league's weakest teams Tarsus Bld (12-6) in their last game. Despite Doron's very good performance Tarsus Bld lost 65-71 in a derby game to the higher-ranked (#4) Mersin. She was the top scorer with 22 points. Doron also added 4 boards, passed 4 assists and added 4 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in 33 minutes on the court. Doron has relatively good stats this year: 11.9ppg, 2.9rpg, 3.0apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 45.5% and FT: 77.8% in the 14 games she played so far. Ex-Elitzur Ramla player is currently a member of the Israeli senior national team.

Ekaterina Abramzon
Ekaterina Abramzon
#2. Second place goes to an international forward Ekaterina Abramzon (185-87, currently plays in Romania). She led Alba Iulia to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Oradea (0-20) crushing them 132-40 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Saturday night. Abramzon recorded 13 points and added 4 passes in 21 minutes. CSU Alba Iulia (14-6) is placed fifth in the Liga Nationala. This year Abramzon averages: 7.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.1apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 45.7%, 3FGP: 25.9% and FT: 68.2% in the 20 games. She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Israeli. Ex-Elizur Ramla player is in the roster of the Israeli senior national team.

Liron Cohen
Liron Cohen
#3. The Israeli player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Liron Cohen (173-82, currently plays in Italy). Cohen contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Cagliari CUS (2-12) crushing them 86-60 in the Italian A1 in Sunday night's game. She scored 7 points and added 4 assists. Goldbet Taranto (10-4) is placed fourth in the A1. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Cohen has relatively solid stats: 10.7ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.7apg, 2FGP: 49.1%, 3FGP: 40.6% and FT: 75.8%. She is also a member of the Israeli senior national team.

Eloisa Katz
Eloisa Katz
#4. Power forward Eloisa Katz (182-91, currently plays in Canada) was not able to help the Bishop's University (10-4) in their game against the Laval (3-10) in the Canadian university league CIS. Katz scored only 4 points and added 4 passes in 24 minutes. The Bishop's University lost 51-58 on the road to the Laval. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Katz's first season with the team. This year her overall stats are: 4.0ppg and 3.1rpg in the 14 games. Katz is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Israeli. She used to play for the Israeli U20 national team back in 2011.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Israeli passport:

#1. Experienced Sue Bird (175-PG-80, college: Connecticut, currently plays in Euroleague) managed to help UMMC Ekaterinburg to win against the closely-ranked Galatasaray (9-3) 61-45 in the Euroleague last Wednesday. She scored 5 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group C. UMMC Ekaterinburg (11-1) is placed first. The Regular Season already ended in the Euroleague. It's Bird's first season with the team. This year Bird averages: 5.7ppg, 6.7rpg, 6.7apg and 1.3spg. She is a naturalized American. Strangely Bird has never played in Israel.
