Altshuler Saham Galil Gilboa (Winner League) added to their roster 28-year old American forward Shawn Taggart (207-104kg-85, college: Memphis). He was tested at Santa Cruz Warriors (D-League) in the U.S., but was not approved after all. Taggart also spent the start of the season at Springfield Armor in D-League earlier that year. In 13 games he recorded 8.1ppg and 4.8rpg this season. The last season he played at TED Istanbul (TB2L) in Turkish league. In 21 games he averaged impressive 16.3ppg and 7.9rpg. The previous (10-11) season Taggart played at Shanxi Zhongyu (CBA) in Chinese league. In 8 games he averaged remarkable 27.5ppg, 11.5rpg, 1.1spg and 1.4bpg. He was tried-out by UCAM Murcia (ACB) in Spanish league earlier that season. In 9 games he averaged 6.8ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.2apg. Taggart was tried-out by Dnipro (Superleague) in Ukraine earlier that season. Last year (three years after he left the college) Taggart was drafted by Springfield Armor (D-League) in fifth round (78th overall). The former University of Memphis standoutis in his fourth season in pro basketball. The list of the past achievements is quite long as Taggart's college team won C-USA Tournament for two years in a row (2008 and 2009). He has played also professionally in Spain (Caceres Basket), Israel (Ironi Nahariya) and China (Henan Jiyuan).
