Thirteenth-ranked Maccabi Kiryat Bialik (3-16) gave a tough game to second ranked Ironi Nahariya (15-4) on Tuesday. The visitors from Nahariya managed to secure only two-point victory 88-86. However their fans expected much easier game. Maccabi Kiryat Bialik was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 26-22 charge of Ironi Nahariya, which allowed them to win the game. They made 29-of-37 free shots (78.4 percent) during the game, while Maccabi Kiryat Bialik only scored thirteen points from the stripe. 27 personal fouls committed by Maccabi Kiryat Bialik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American guard Nate Miller (193-87, college: Bowling Green, agency: KMG Sports Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Aviram Zelkovits (193-89) helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. Ironi Nahariya's coach Shay Minister used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side guard Dror Davidi (190-84) responded with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Ironi Nahariya maintains second place with 15-4 record behind leader Ironi Nes-Ziona, which they share with Hod Hasharon. Maccabi Kiryat Bialik at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Maccabi K/G. Ironi Nahariya is looking forward to face Kiryat Tivon (#12) in Kiryat Tivon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi Kiryat Bialik will play on the road against Maccabi K/G in Kiryat Gat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Yavne. 4th placed host Elitzur Yavne (13-6) lost to first ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (16-3) 113-104. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Elitzur Yavne. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Welsh forward Tal Michael Dunne (197-87) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds. Bilal Benn accounted for 26 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Swingman Elad Hofman (192-85) came up with 23 points and 6 assists for Elitzur Yavne in the defeat. Ironi Nes-Ziona maintains first place with 16-3 record. Elitzur Yavne at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Hapoel Afula. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Hapoel Kazrin (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. The game in Kazrin was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (10-9) played at the court of eighth ranked Hapoel Kazrin (10-9). Hapoel Kazrin managed to secure a 7-point victory 84-77 on Tuesday. Anton Kazarnovski fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Hapoel Kazrin will meet league's leader Ironi Nes-Ziona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ironi Kiryat Ata will play against Elitzur Ramla (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Ninth ranked Elitzur Ramla (8-11) crushed at home 10th ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (6-13) by 28 points 93-65, which is the biggest margin this round. Worth to mention a great performance of Vernon Teel who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Elitzur Ramla maintains ninth place with 8-11 record. Hapoel Kfar Saba lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Elitzur Ramla's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (#8) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Kfar Saba will play against Beer Yaakov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 19: Hod Hasharon destroyed Kiryat Tivon on the opponent's court 88-69. Macc.B.Yaakov unfortunately lost to Ironi Ramat Gan in a home game 67-82. Bottom-ranked Maccabi K/G recorded a loss to Hapoel Afula on the road 77-82.

Kiryat Tivon - Hod Hasharon 69-88

Very expected game when 12th ranked Kiryat Tivon (4-15) was crushed at home by third ranked Hod Hasharon (15-4) 88-69. Kiryat Tivon was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Kiryat Tivon 43-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Macc.B.Yaakov - Ironi Ramat Gan 67-82

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (11-8) defeated on the road 11th ranked Beer Yaakov (6-13) 82-67. The game was mostly controlled by Ironi Ramat Gan. Beer Yaakov was better in second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Maccabi K/G (3-16) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Hapoel Afula (13-6) 82-77. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 20-13 Maccabi K/G's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 82-77 at the end of the game.
