The Regular Season in Winner League is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Top ranked Maccabi T-A (17-2) recorded its second loss on the court of ninth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Hapoel Tel-Aviv 69-65. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of Maccabi T-A. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 45-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American Curtis Kelly (205-88, college: Kansas St.) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International point guard Bar Timor (190-92, agency: Avi Zilberman) chipped in 20 points. American point guard Ricky Hickman (189-85, college: NC-Greensboro) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Maccabi T-A's coach David Blatt tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Tel-Aviv (8-11) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bnei Hasharon and Maccabi Ashdod. Defending champion Maccabi T-A still keeps top position with two games lost. Hapoel Tel-Aviv is looking forward to face Hapoel Holon (#10) on the road in the next round. Maccabi T-A will play against GreenTops Netanya (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Netanya. Third ranked Hapoel Eilat (12-7) saved a 2-point derby victory on the road edging 5th ranked GreenTops Netanya (9-10) 74-72 on Sunday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Eli Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Scotty Hopson contributed with 18 points for the winners. point guard Eyal Shulman (192-87) answered with 19 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for GreenTops Netanya. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi Haifa. GreenTops Netanya lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Hapoel Eilat will play against Maccabi Ashdod (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. GreenTops Netanya will play against the league's leader Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Hod Hasharon was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Maccabi Haifa (12-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Bnei Hasharon (8-11). Maccabi Haifa managed to secure a 7-point victory 89-82 on Sunday. It was a great evening for Pat Calathes who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side J.R. Reynolds responded with 32 points and 4 assists. Maccabi Haifa have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Hapoel Eilat. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Hapoel T-A and Maccabi Ashdod. Maccabi Haifa will meet at home Hapoel Jerusalem (#4) in the next round. Bnei Hasharon will play against Galil Gilboa in Rosh Pina and hope to secure a win.
A very interesting game took place in Ashkelon. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 12th ranked Ironi Ashkelon (5-14) to eleventh ranked Hapoel Holon (7-12) 83-82 on Sunday evening. The game was dominated by American players. It was an exceptional evening for Frank Hassell who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Hapoel Holon moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Galil Gilboa. Ironi Ashkelon lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Hapoel Holon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#9) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ironi Ashkelon will play against Maccabi Rishon in Rishon Le-Zion.
Important game to mention about took place in Ashdod. Tenth ranked Maccabi Ashdod (8-11) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Galil Gilboa (7-12) 86-84 on Sunday evening. In the last game of round 19 Maccabi Rishon defeated Hapoel J-M in Rishon Le-Zion 91-83.
