There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most important game in the last round took place in Hod Hasharon between third ranked Hod Hasharon (15-5) and fifth ranked Elitzur Yavne (14-6) on Tuesday night. Hod Hasharon was defeated by Elitzur Yavne in a tough game at home 79-86. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Hod Hasharon. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-79. Elitzur Yavne dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Hod Hasharon's 30. Elitzur Yavne forced 19 Hod Hasharon turnovers. The best player for the winners was American swingman Brian Laing (195-85, college: Seton Hall, agency: I.D.S. Law) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Bottom-ranked Maccabi K/G managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the ten-game losing streak. This time newly promoted Maccabi K/G outleveled thirteenth-ranked Maccabi Kiryat Bialik in Kiryat Gat 74-48. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 26-point difference suggests that Maccabi K/G is in a good shape to leave the bottom place.
