  follow us on Facebook Twitter

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Israelis who are currently playing abroad.

Oded Brandwein
Oded Brandwein
#1. This week's number one is former U20 international guard Oded Brandwein (186-88, agency: N.E.T., currently plays in Poland). He was the major contributor in a Energa Czarni's victory against the tenth-ranked Kotwica (6-15) 81-62 in the Polish TBL in Sunday night's game. Brandwein scored 17 points and added 4 assists (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line) in 27 minutes on the court. Energa Czarni Slupsk (12-9) is placed sixth in the TBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Brandwein averages: 9.8ppg, 1.1rpg, 3.6apg, 2FGP: 40.8%, 3FGP: 39.6% and FT: 86.7% in the 18 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Israeli and Polish. Former Elitzur Yavne starter played for the Israeli U20 national team five years ago.

Robert Rothbart
Robert Rothbart
#2. Second place goes to an international center Robert Rothbart (217-86, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL. Rothbart could not help Start Gdynia (5-16) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Start Gdynia was edged 75-72 at home by the higher-ranked Siarka Jezioro (#9). Rothbart recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 4 blocks. Rothbart's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Rothbart has relatively good stats this season: 13.6ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.1bpg, 2FGP: 55.1%(109-198) and FT: 65.1%. He is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Israeli. Ex-Hapoel Galil Elyon player is in the roster of the Israeli senior national team.

Alex Tyus
Alex Tyus

He was not able to help Cantu (13-8) in their game against Air Avellino (6-14) in the Italian SerieA. Tyus scored only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Cantu was defeated 63-52 on the road by the much lower-ranked Air Avellino (#14). Tyus is currently fifth on the list of best blockers. This year Halperin's overall stats are: 5.2ppg, 1.8rpg, 2.4apg and 1.3spg in the 24 games. He is also Israeli national team player.

Yuval Naimy
