Dinma
Odiakosa
Nigerian Chukwudinma Odiakosa (203-F/C-85, agency: N.E.T.) had a very impressive game in the last round for Hod Hasharon and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com National League Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 21 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team lost the game against Elitzur Yavne (#5, 14-6) 79-86. Hod Hasharon maintains the 3rd position in Israeli National League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hod Hasharon will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 15-5 record. Odiakosa turned to be Hod Hasharon's top player in his first season with the team. Illinois State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Odiakosa is in league's top in points (6th best: 20.1ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.5rpg) and averages solid 65.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old American forward Lenny Daniel (203-F-87) of Maccabi K/G. Daniel impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he lead Maccabi K/G to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Maccabi K/B (#14, 3-17) 74-48. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Maccabi K/G managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 12th place. 16 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Maccabi K/G managed to get this year. Daniel is a newcomer at Maccabi K/G and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.3ppg (#1). He also registered 10.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was former international Amit Tamir (208-C/F-79) of Ironi Ramat Gan (#7). Tamir scored 26 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Ironi Ramat Gan, leading his team to a 85-65 easy win against the higher-ranked Hapoel Afula (#4, 13-7). Ironi Ramat Gan needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 8 lost games. Tamir has a very solid season. In 20 games in Israel he scored 17.8ppg. He also has 8.1rpg, FGP: 58.6% and 3PT: 40.6%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mike James (185-G-90) of Hapoel Kazrin - 31 points and 7 rebounds
5. Ramon Clemente (200-PF-85) of Ironi Nahariya - 22 points and 14 rebounds
6. Tal Michael Dunne (197-F-87) of Ironi Nes-Ziona - 20 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Cyrus Tate (203-F/C-85) of Ironi Nes-Ziona - 24 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Vernon Teel (193-G-87) of Elitzur Ramla - 11 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Joshua Alexander (193-G-87) of Macc.B.Yaakov - 27 points and 11 rebounds
10. Darrin Govens (185-PG-88) of Ironi K-A - 25 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
