Evan Yates
The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season.

There was a change at the National League leadership position after last games. Round 21 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Hapoel B/S (14-7). They were edged by fifth ranked Maccabi Rehovot (13-8) 60-59 on Tuesday night. American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and swingman Gur Porat (197-79) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Maccabi Rehovot's coach Avner Yeor used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jeff Allen (201-87, college: Virginia Tech) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Maccabi Rehovot have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hap.R/G Givat. and Ironi K-A. Hapoel B/S at the other side dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Hapoel K/S. They were replaced at the leadership position by Maccabi Raanana. Hapoel B/S will play next round against Ironi Ramat Gan trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Maccabi Rehovot will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Hap.R/G Givat. in Givataim.
An interesting game took place in Afula where 4th placed Hap.R/G Givat. (13-8) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Hapoel Afula (10-11) 86-65. American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-91, college: Akron) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Omer Tal accounted for 15 points and 6 assists. American guard Rashad Madden (196-92, college: Arkansas) came up with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for Hap.R/G Givat. in the defeat. Hapoel Afula moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Hapoel Migd.H. Hap.R/G Givat. at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Hap.R/G Givat. will play against Maccabi Rehovot and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
12th ranked Hap.Haifa (7-14) was outscored at home by second ranked Maccabi Raanana (15-6) with the biggest margin this round 97-55 on Tuesday night.
