Here is the weekly review of the top performing Israeli players, who play currently abroad.

Omri Casspi
Omri Casspi
#1. This week's number one is former international small forward Omri Casspi (206-88, currently plays in NBA). Casspi could not help the New Orleans Pelicans (24-37) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his good performance the New Orleans Pelicans (24-37) were crushed 129-99 on the road by the Houston Rockets. Casspi scored 12 points. It was his first game for New Orleans Pelicans this season. Casspi played for the Israeli senior national team two years ago.

Egor Koulechov
Egor Koulechov
#2. Second place goes to an international swingman Egor Koulechov (196-94, currently plays college basketball in the States). He led Rice to a 1-point victory against the University of Southern Mississippi (8-5) 72-71 in the NCAA on Thursday night. Koulechov had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 11 rebounds in 42 minutes. The Rice University has 7-5 conference record this season. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Koulechov has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.5ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 49.3%, 3FGP: 46.4%(65-140) and FT: 79.3% in 29 games he played so far. Koulechov has a dual citizenship: Russian and Israeli. Ex-Wingate Academy Netanya player is in the roster of the Israeli senior national team.

Alex Tyus
Alex Tyus
#3. The Israeli player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Alex Tyus (203-88, college: Florida, currently plays in Euroleague). Tyus was not able to help Galatasaray in their game against Crvena Zvezda (13-10) in the Euroleague. He did not have that impressive stats last Thursday. Tyus scored only one point in 12 minutes. The 16th-placed Galatasaray (7-16) was badly defeated 77-58 in Beograd by the much higher-ranked (#6) Crvena Zvezda in the group A of Euroleague. This year Tyus' overall stats are: 10.0ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.5bpg, 2FGP: 67.3%(99-147) and FT: 55.0% in 23 games. He is a naturalized American. Tyus played for the Israeli national team four years ago. He used to play for Maccabi Ashdod in Israeli league.

Anton Kazarnovski
Anton Kazarnovski
#4. Power forward Anton Kazarnovski (206-85, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for BG Karlsruhe (11-10) in their game against Fraport Skyliners II (9-12) in the German ProB (third division). Despite his very good performance on Wednesday night Kazarnovski was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 9 rebounds. Kazarnovski's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This season Kazarnovski has very high stats. He averages: 15.2ppg, 7.4rpg and 2.4apg. Kazarnovski is another player who holds two passports: Russian and Israeli. He used to play for the Israeli university national team back in 2007.

Anton Shoutvin
Anton Shoutvin
#5. Former U22 international center Anton Shoutvin (206-89, currently plays in Slovakia) contributed to a Iskra Svit's victory against the second-ranked Inter Bratislava (24-9) 80-72 in the Slovakian SBL in Wednesday night's game. Shoutvin scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes. BK Iskra Svit (17-16) is placed sixth in the SBL. It's Shoutvin's first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year: 16.0ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.4apg in 31 games. Shoutvin used to play for the Israeli U22 national team six years ago.

Yuval Naimy
Yuval Naimy
#6. Point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Scafati (6-17) in their game against Lighthouse TR (12-11) in the Italian Serie A2 (second division), despite his good performance on Sunday night. He scored 12 points and added 7 assists in 36 minutes. But Scafati (#15) lost 69-74 at home to the higher-ranked (#9) Lighthouse TR in the West group. Naimy has very impressive stats this year: 15.9ppg, 2.9rpg, 7.6apg and 1.2spg in 19 games. He is a former international player as he played for the Israeli senior team two years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Israeli passport but never been selected to any of Israeli national teams:

#1. TJ Leaf (208-F-97, currently plays college basketball in the States) led UCLA to a victory against the Arizona State University (7-7) 87-75 in the NCAA in Thursday night's game. He recorded 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 30 minutes. The Univ.of Calif.at Los Angeles have a solid 9-3 conference record this season. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Leaf has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.1ppg, 8.2rpg, 2.4apg and 1.1bpg in 28 games he played so far. Leaf is a naturalized American. Despite his Israeli passport, Leaf previously played for the USA U19 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Israeli team. Strangely he has never played in Israel.

#2. Marios Matalon (186-G-89, college: Wyoming, currently plays in Greece) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Pagrati (2-17) crushing them 93-61 in a derby game in the Greek A2 (second division) in Saturday night's game. He recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Panionios ON Telecoms Athens (18-1) is placed first in the A2. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Matalon's overall stats this season are: 7.9ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.0apg. He has a dual citizenship: Israeli and Greek. Despite Matalon's Israeli passport, he previously played for the Greek U20 national team and probably cannot be called to the Israeli team.

#3. Mor Menashe (188-G-92, currently plays in Canada). He could not help the Lakehead University (8-12) to beat the Blues (11-9). Menashe recorded 8 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. The Lakehead University (#3) was crushed 82-61 on the road by the Blues. The Conferences Tournaments already ended. Menashe has relatively good stats this season: 10.8ppg, 5.9rpg, 4.1apg and 1.6spg.

#4. Alon Hemsani (201-F, currently plays in NAIA) was not able to help the Culver Stockton College in their game against the Benedictine College in the NAIA. Hemsani scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The Culver Stockton College was defeated 68-57 in Atchison by the Benedictine College. So far Culver Stockton College lost all twenty games in the Regular Season. The Regular Season already ended in the NAIA. Hemsani's total stats this season are: 6.7ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1bpg.
