Addison
The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Maccabi Raanana (16-7) on the court of seventh ranked Maccabi Rehovot on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Maccabi Rehovot 88-77. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Maccabi Raanana. Maccabi Rehovot looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American guard Marquis Addison (195-91, college: Missouri So., agency: XL Basketball Agency) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Gur Porat (197-79) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for Maccabi Raanana. Maccabi Rehovot (14-9) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ironi Nes-Ziona. Maccabi Raanana at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. Maccabi Rehovot is looking forward to face Hasharon (#13) in Ramat Hasharon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi Raanana will play at home against Hap.R/G Givat. (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Hapoel B/S (15-8) against fourth ranked Hap.R/G Givat. (15-8) on Tuesday night. Visiting Hapoel B/S was defeated by Hap.R/G Givat. in a tough game in Givataim 75-84. It was a great evening for American guard Rashad Madden (196-92, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Jamal Olasewere helped adding 26 points and 8 rebounds. American power forward Jeff Allen (201-87, college: Virginia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. Hap.R/G Givat. moved-up to second place, which they share with Hapoel K/S and Hapoel B/S. Hap.R/G Givat. will play against league's leader Maccabi Raanana on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hapoel B/S will play against Hapoel Kfar Saba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Haifa between Hap.Haifa and Ironi Kiryat Ata. Twelfth ranked Hap.Haifa (9-14) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (13-10). Hap.Haifa managed to escape with a 2-point win 84-82 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It was an exceptional evening for Jaraun Burrows who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Hap.Haifa's coach Shaked Shoham used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Dallis Joyner came up with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 16 rebounds for Ironi Kiryat Ata in the defeat. Newly promoted Hap.Haifa maintains twelfth place with 9-14 record. Loser Ironi Kiryat Ata dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Maccabi H/H. Hap.Haifa will meet higher ranked Galil Elion (#11) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ironi Kiryat Ata will play against Hapoel Afula (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between 11th ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (10-13) and fifth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (14-9) in Tarshicha ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Nes Ziyona outscored Hapoel Migd.H. 93-69. The best player for the winners was Tal-Michael Dunne who had a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ironi Nes-Ziona have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 14-9 record, which they share with Macc.Rehovot. Hapoel Migd.H. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Ironi Nes-Ziona's next round opponent will be Hasharon (#8) in Hod Hasharon. Hapoel Migd.H. will play on the road against Ironi Ramat Gan and hope to win that game.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 23: Ramat Hasharon was smashed by Hapoel Afula on the road 87-64. Maccabi H/H won against Galil Elion on its own court 98-81. Bottom-ranked Ironi Ramat Gan unfortunately lost to Hapoel K/S in Kfar Saba 73-91.

Hapoel Afula - Ramat Hasharon 87-64

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Hapoel Afula (11-12) crushed at home 13th ranked Hasharon (4-19) 87-64. Hapoel Afula forced 19 Hasharon turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-91, college: Akron) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Omer Tal (188-92) chipped in 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American forward Maxie Esho (206-91, college: Massachusetts) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and Rom Cornelius (197-93) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hapoel Afula maintains ninth place with 11-12 record. Hasharon lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. Hapoel Afula's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hasharon will play against Maccabi Rehovot (#6) and hope to win that game.
