Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Israelis who are currently playing abroad.

Alex Tyus
Alex Tyus
#1. This week's number one is former international center Alex Tyus (203-88, college: Florida, currently plays in Euroleague). He could not help Galatasaray (8-17) in their last game. Despite Tyus' good performance Galatasaray was badly defeated 85-69 on the road by the second-ranked CSKA. He recorded 10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in 16 minutes on the court. This year Tyus averages: 10.0ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.5bpg, 2FGP: 67.9%(108-159) and FT: 54.7% in 25 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Tyus played for the Israeli senior national team four years ago. He used to play for Maccabi Ashdod in Israeli league.

Egor Koulechov
Egor Koulechov
#2. Second place goes to an international swingman Egor Koulechov (196-94, currently plays college basketball in the States). Koulechov led Rice to a victory against the University of San Francisco (10-8) 85-76 in the NCAA National Tournament Round 1 last Wednesday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 11 rebounds. The Rice University has a solid 11-7 conference record this season. The National Tournament Round 1 already ended in the NCAA. Koulechov has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.3ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 47.3%, 3FGP: 47.3%(79-167) and FT: 81.7%. Koulechov has a dual citizenship: Russian and Israeli. Ex-Wingate Academy Netanya player is in the roster of the Israeli senior national team.

Anton Shoutvin
Anton Shoutvin
#3. The Israeli player who performed third best last week abroad was former U22 international center Anton Shoutvin (206-89, currently plays in Slovakia). He contributed to a Iskra Svit's victory against the closely-ranked Karlovka (9-27) 79-70 in the Slovakian SBL on Saturday night. Shoutvin scored 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line) in 29 minutes. BK Iskra Svit (20-17) is placed sixth in the SBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Shoutvin has very impressive stats this year: 15.9ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 63.9%(186-291), 3FGP: 34.4% and FT: 80.1% in 35 games. He played for the Israeli U22 national team six years ago.

Anton Kazarnovski
Anton Kazarnovski
#4. Power forward Anton Kazarnovski (206-85, currently plays in Germany) was the major contributor in a 1-point BG Karlsruhe's victory against the third-ranked Oldenburg (14-8) 67-66 in the German ProB (third division) last Saturday. He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 10 rebounds. Kazarnovski also added 2 blocks and 3 steals in 36 minutes. BG Karlsruhe (11-11) is placed sixth in South group. Kazarnovski has very impressive stats this year: 15.4ppg, 7.2rpg and 2.5apg in 21 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Russian and Israeli. Kazarnovski used to play for the Israeli university national team back in 2007.

Yuval Naimy
Yuval Naimy
#5. Former international point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help Scafati (6-18) in their last game. Despite Naimy's good performance the 16th-placed Scafati (6-18) lost 75-82 on the opponent's court to the second-ranked Tortona in the West group. He scored 11 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 32 minutes. It was Scafati's third consecutive loss in a row. It's Naimy's first season with the team. Naimy has very impressive stats this year: 15.7ppg, 3.1rpg, 7.5apg and 1.2spg in 20 games. He used to play for the Israeli national team two years ago.

Roman Sorkin
Roman Sorkin
#6. Power forward Roman Sorkin (205-96, currently studies in the States) managed to help University of Oregon to win against the Arizona State University (7-11) crushing them 80-57 in the NCAA last Thursday. Sorkin scored only 4 points. The University of Oregon has quite an impressive 16-2 conference record this season. His team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Sorkin's overall stats this season are: 3.3ppg and 1.9rpg. He is a former U20 international player as he played for the Israeli team two years ago.

Ido Flaisher
Ido Flaisher
#7. U20 international center Ido Flaisher (206-98, is currently at the American university) was not able to secure a victory for the Hawaii (8-8) in their game against the Long Beach State University (9-7) in the NCAA. Flaisher cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only one point in 6 minutes on the court. The Hawaii lost 62-73 at home to the State University. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. This year Flaisher's overall stats are: 3.2ppg and 2.8rpg in 28 games. He is also Israeli U20 national team player.

The list of other players, who all have Israeli passport but never been selected to any of Israeli national teams:

#1. TJ Leaf (208-F-97, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the UCLA (15-3) in their last game on Friday. Despite Leaf's very good performance the UCLA were defeated 86-75 at home by the University of Arizona. He recorded 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Leaf's team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Leaf's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Leaf averages: 16.0ppg, 8.1rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1bpg. He is a naturalized American. Despite Leaf's Israeli passport, he previously played for the USA U19 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Israeli team. Strangely Leaf has never played in Israel.

#2. Marios Matalon (186-G-89, college: Wyoming, currently plays in Greece) was not able to help Panionios in their game against Iraklis (18-3) in the Greek A2 (second division). He did not beat the league record on Saturday evening. Matalon scored only one point. The league leader Panionios was edged 80-79 on the road by the second-ranked Iraklis. It was Panionios' first loss after six consecutive victories. Matalon's overall stats this season are: 7.3ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.0apg. He has a dual citizenship: Israeli and Greek.
