Noam Matalon
The most exciting game of round 26 in the National League took place in Kiryat Ata. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Hap.R/G Givat. (16-10) to eighth ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (15-11) 80-78 on Tuesday evening. Ironi Kiryat Ata looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Noam Matalon (197-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points. American power forward Dallis Joyner (203-90, college: Stony Brook) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American-Nigerian Jamal Olasewere (201-91, college: LIU Brooklyn) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds for Hap.R/G Givat.Ironi Kiryat Ata moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Maccabi H/H. Hap.R/G Givat. at the other side dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with Macc.Rehovot and Ironi Nes-Ziona.
Bottom-ranked Ironi Ramat Gan managed to get a fourth victory. This time they outleveled tenth-ranked Hap.Haifa 102-71. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 31-point difference proves that Ironi Ramat Gan was well-prepared to that game. American power forward Anthony Lee (206-91, college: Ohio St.) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Arad Harari chipped in 16 points and 6 assists during the contest. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Hap.Haifa's coach Shaked Shoham gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Ironi Ramat Gan maintains fourteenth position with 4-22 record. Newly promoted Hap.Haifa keeps the tenth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Hapoel Migd.H. and Galil Elion.
National League top team - Maccabi Raanana (18-8) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Hasharon (5-21) in Ramat Hasharon 71-61. American players dominated the game. Josh Hairston notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds by Maxie Esho did not help to save the game for Hasharon. Hasharon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Maccabi Raanana maintains first position with 18-8 record, which they share with Hapoel K/S. Loser Hasharon keeps the thirteenth place with 21 games lost.
The game between fifth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (16-10) and 9th ranked Hapoel Afula (12-14) in Nes Ziyona ended with biggest points difference. Ironi Nes-Ziona beat guests from Afula 81-68. The best player for the winners was Jermaine Beal who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Ironi Nes-Ziona moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Macc.Rehovot and Hap.R/G Givat. Hapoel Afula at the other side keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 26: Macc.Rehovot beat Galil Elion on the road 77-66. Hapoel K/S won against Maccabi H/H on its own court 75-69. Hapoel Migd.H. unfortunately lost to Hapoel B/S in Beer Sheva 88-99.
The most impressive performance of 26th round was 16 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists by Ben Eisenhardt of Hapoel B/S.

Galil Elion - Macc.Rehovot 66-77

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Maccabi Rehovot (16-10) beat 12th ranked Galil Elion (10-16) in Kazrin 77-66. They outrebounded Galil Elion 45-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Marquis Addison (195-91, college: Missouri So., agency: XL Basketball Agency) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Yates is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Cinmeon Bowers (201-93, college: Auburn) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and Maxim Kikus (188-94) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Galil Elion players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi Rehovot moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hap.R/G Givat. and Ironi Nes-Ziona. Galil Elion lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 16 games lost.

Hapoel K/S - Maccabi H/H 75-69

Very expected game when 6th ranked Hasharon (15-11) lost on the road to second ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (18-8) 75-69. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was forward Terrence Watson (200-87, college: Ball St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Ramat Hasharon - Maccabi Raanana 61-71

National League top team - Maccabi Raanana (18-8) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Hasharon (5-21) in Ramat Hasharon 71-61. American players dominated the game. Center Josh Hairston (203-92, college: Duke, agency: Octagon Europe) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) supported him with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Five Maccabi Raanana players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds by forward Maxie Esho (206-91, college: Massachusetts) did not help to save the game for Hasharon. Forward Lorenzo Gordon (201-83, college: Oklahoma City) added 15 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Hasharon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Maccabi Raanana maintains first position with 18-8 record, which they share with Hapoel K/S. Loser Hasharon keeps the thirteenth place with 21 games lost.
