Familia Schio triumph at A1 Finals! sweeping the series against Lucca. Familia Schio posted a 67:48 win in Game 3 and won the Play-offs. They led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lucca to just 6 points in first quarter. It was a good game for American center Jantel Lavender (190-88, college: Ohio St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Belgian guard Kathy Wambe (176-81) contributed with 9 points and 5 assists for the winners. Familia Schio's coach Maurizio Lasi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Portuguese forward Mery Andrade (181-75, college: ODU) answered with 8 points and 14 rebounds and Slovakian center Marie Ruzickova (189-86, agency: LBM Management) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Lucca.

Famila Wuber Schio triumphs at Isola Cup tonight. The team won the Semifinal game against Acqua&Sapone Umbertide and grabbed a valuable win against Gesam Gas Lucca.
Last night Famila Wuber Schio overcame Acqua&Sapone Umbertide 73:64. Jantel Lavender (190-C-88, college: Ohio St.) top-scored for the winners with 19 points and McCray Danielle as well as Godin Elodie had 12 each. Gaia Gorini (182-G-92) replied with 13 points in the losing effort. In another Semifinal Gesam Gas Lucca edged Lavezzini Parma 77:62.
In the Final game Famila Wber Schio won over Gesam Gas Lucca 73:51. The favorites won the first period 22-20 and then led 11 points at the halftime. Jantel Lavender led the way with 26 points, while Laura Macchi (188-F-79) netted 14. Sottana Giorgia brought 11 in the winning effort. Benedetta Bagnara (178-G-87, agency: LBM Management) answered with 12 points in defeat, whilst Ress Kathirin scored 10.
