Shinelco Trapani advanced to Lega2 as theyr swept the series over Ostuni 3-0. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ostuni won third quarter 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trapani had a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Marco Evangelisti (198-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian guard Ariel Svoboda (192-85, agency: Players Group) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Marco Bona (194-89) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds and center Francesco Basei (207-83) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Ostuni. Four Ostuni players scored in double figures.

Consum.it Siena wins the A Dilettanti Cup - Mar 20, 2011

Today the Consum.IT Siena won his second A Dilettanti Italian Cup (the first in 2008) beating the Bitumcalor Trento for 66-57! Game controlled by the winners with Trento always to chase already in the first minutes. For the Bitumcalor only Andrea Benevelli (202-F-85) in double digit with a great performance: 17 points (6/8 by 2), 15 rebounds, 4 steals and 8 fouls suffered with 41 of ranking! For the others there are 9 points of Luca Conte (193-G-80) (but 1/9 by 3) and 7 points of Diego Zivic (198-F/C-76) with 4 assist and Andres Forray (188-G-86) with a bad 3/12 at shoot. Matteo Imbro (187-G-94) is the top scorer for the team of coach Stefano Salieri (and MVP of the tournament) with 13 points (3/7 by 3) and 4 assist. Good job for Amedeo Tessitori (201-C-94) with 12 points and 3 steals, 11 points and 6 rebounds for Gianluca Tomasiello (188-G-80) and 10 points for Stefano Rabaglietti (190-G-83).
Yesterday, in the semifinals of the Final 4, the Consum.it had exceeds Ruvo for 63-62 thanks the basket of Marco Pascolo (198-F-93) (only 2 points at the end) in the last seconds before the errors of Rabaglietti and Bonfiglio. For the Adriatica 4 players with 11 points: Riccardo Marzoli (190-G-89) with 7/8 in the free throws, Andrea Pilotti (196-F/G-80, agency: Players Group), Simone Bonfiglio (181-G-88) and Andrea Zerini (201-F-88, agency: Interperformances) that added 12 rebounds while for the finalists 17 points for Imbro with 6 rebounds, double-double of Tessitori with 15 points and 10 rebounds (7/10 by 2) and 14 points with 4 steals of Davide Andreaus (202-F-86). In the other semifinal Latina lost with Trento for 64-70, not enough the 19 points of Fabio Ruini (186-G-80), the triples of Lorenzo Panzini (185-G-90) (5/7 by 3), the 12 points of Francesco Amoroso (202-F-78) and the good performance of Matteo Rossetti (192-G-85) with 6 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals. For the Bitumcalor 21 points of Conte, double-double of Benevelli with 16 points and 10 rebounds and 12 points, from the bench, for Zivic in 19 minutes.
