Until the end of the first period Herve Toure and Ibrahim Jaaber paced Lottomatica to another run, this time 0-9, and visitors were 17-27 after ten minutes of play. That was kind of shock for the hosts, who managed to recover and to close the gap below ten. Marousi came even closer, when Kennedy Winston and his teammates responded and after triple by De La Fuente jumped to 33-45 advantage. The hosts did not give up and they managed to cut the margin to 41-47 until the HT. Gordon Lukas was in a game mood and mostly owing to him Marousi came to 51-54 after the breather, but Lottomatica was strong enough to resist and to go to last ten minutes with 59-66. There with 1:40 remaining Kennedy Winston drained a crucial triple for the Italians setting the score to 71-77. Marousi was scoreless until the end Lottomatica grabbed third straight win for the fantastic Euroleague start.

Until the HT Romain Sato and his teammates came even closer, 32-31. Then in third period Montepaschi grabbed the lead and never looked back after that.
