Here is the weekly review of the top performing Italian players, who play currently abroad.

Andrea Bargnani
Andrea Bargnani
#1. This week's number one is an international power forward Andrea Bargnani (209-85). He led Toronto Raptors to a victory over the Denver Nuggets (27-24) 105-96 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. Bargnani was MVP of the game. He recorded 26 points (!!!) and grabbed 5 rebounds in 36 minutes on the court. The Toronto Raptors have not so impressive 17-34 record this season. It's Bargnani's sixth year with the team. Bargnani has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 19.1ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 46.2%, 3FGP: 28.7% and FT: 86.6% in the 25 games he played so far. Bargnani is currently a member of the Italian senior national team.

Marco Belinelli
Marco Belinelli
#2. Second place goes to an international guard Marco Belinelli (196-86). He was the main contributor in a New Orleans Hornets' victory against the Golden State Warriors (20-29) 102-87 in the NBA last Wednesday. Belinelli was the best player in that game. He recorded 22 points, 6 assists and 3 steals. The New Orleans Hornets have not so impressive 13-37 record this season. This year Belinelli has very high stats. He averages: 11.5ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 45.9%, 3FGP: 36.7% and FT: 78.7%. Belinelli is in the roster of the Italian senior national team.

Marcelinho Huertas
Marcelinho Huertas
#3. The Italian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83, agency: Edge Sports). He was the major contributor in a Regal FC Barcelona's victory against the closely-ranked Unics Kazan (3-3) 67-56 in the Euroleague on Tuesday night. Huertas scored 9 points and added 4 assists in 23 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group H. Regal FC Barcelona (6-0) is placed first. So far his team won all six games in the Quarter-Finals. Huertas is currently fifth on the league's list of best passers with 4.6apg. This year his other stats are: 8.1ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 55.7%(34-61), 3FGP: 43.1% and FT: 83.3% in the 19 games. Huertas has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Italian. Despite he played previously for the Brazilian national team, Huertas is currently a member of the Italian senior national team.

Nicolas Borsellino
Nicolas Borsellino
#4. Forward Nicolas Borsellino (202-86) contributed to an easy victory against the second-ranked Atletico Welcome (8-2) crushing them 80-58 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB in Tuesday night's game. He scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Serie 2. Malvin (7-3) is placed second. Borsellino's overall stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.6apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Italian and Uruguayan. Despite Borsellino played previously for the Uruguayan national team, he is currently in the Italian national team roster.

Jayson Granger
Jayson Granger
#5. International guard Jayson Granger (186-89), who plays in the Spanish ACB could not help Asefa Estudiantes (7-18) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Asefa Estudiantes lost 74-89 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#3) Caja Laboral. Granger was the second best scorer with 20 points in 22 minutes. Granger is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his sixth year in Asefa Estudiantes' roster. He belongs to league's most steals and is ranked #3 with 1.5spg. This year Granger also averages: 10.9ppg, 4.6rpg and 3.5apg in the 24 games. He has both Uruguayan and Italian nationalities. Worth to mention Granger played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Despite Granger played previously for the Uruguayan national team, he is currently in the Italian national team roster.

Ryan Zamroz
Ryan Zamroz
#6. Guard Ryan Zamroz (191-87, agency: JEMsports, college: Master's) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Uppsala Basket (21-15) 84-67 in the Swedish Basketligan on Thursday night. Zamroz recorded 17 points, 3 assists and 3 steals; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Boras Basket (21-15) is placed third in the Basketligan. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Zamroz has very high stats. He averages: 16.0ppg, 2.1rpg and 2.1apg. Zamroz is a naturalized American. Despite he played previously for the USA national team, Zamroz is also a former international player as he played for the Italian senior team three years ago. Strangely he has never played in Italy.
