Galatasaray overcame Familia Schio in the last game of Day 3. The Home side of EuroLeague Final Eight beat Italian side 80:71 and will play on April 1st for the 5th place. Familia Schio will face Wisla in the opener for the 7th place. Familia Schio trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 20-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-80 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Familia Schio 38-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Bahar Bahar Caglar (186-F-88) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Italian-American swingman Diana Diana Taurasi (182-F/G-82, college: Connecticut) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Israeli guard Liron Liron Cohen (173-G-82) who recorded 11 points and 4 assists. Laura Laura Macchi (187-F-79) and Maja Erkic (183-G/F-85) also scored 11 points.
The process that started some months ago has come to a happy ending: Emily Correal (190-F-90, agency: Interperformances) will soon have her Italian passport and her wish to play for the Italian NT may someday come true.
Emily played basketball at the College of Wiliam & Mary where, on her senior year, she started all 30 games for the Tribe, leading the Green and Gold with 16.2 ppg and 7.9 rebounds per game.

She is a solid athlete and has developed a solid face-up jumpshot out to 17-22 feet which has really helped expand her game and is quite affective coming off of screens ; runs the floor extremely well and can get to the basket with her surprising ball handling and body control for a player her size. She is a good area defensive rebounder and will block shots coming at her or chasing them in his area.
