U16 SPAIN - U16 ITALY 70-49

Spain won the Gold at U16 EuroBasket in Miskolc. They blasted Italy 70-49 in the Big Final to take the first place at this event. Silver belongs to Italy. Spain took control on its rival from the very beginning and never looked back. They made 13-point lead in the first ten minutes and jumped to plus 20 until the halftime. Italy slightly improved after the breather, but it was not enough and Spain had no troubles to keep the comfortable lead for rest of the way. Quarters: 23-10, 17-10, 19-21, 11-8. Angela Salvadores (175-PG-97) led the winners with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Laia Flores (170-SF-96) also was great adding 18 points, 5 rebs and 5 assists, while Laura Quevedo (193-F-96) helped with 12 points and 5 rebs. In defeat, Cecilia Zandalasini (182-F-96) shined with 19 points and 12 boards. Their second scorer was Alessia Cabrini (177-SF-96) with 10 pts and Arianna Beretta (177-SF-96) stopped to 7 pts in this game. Russia won the Bronze in Miskolc. Italiy's Zandalasini is named MVP of this event.

La Spezia - Crema 58-49 La Spezia beat Crema in the decisive third game of the series and punched their Serie A1 tickets. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 29-18 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. La Spezia forced 21 Team Crema turnovers.
