Giedrius Staniulis (205-C/F-91) and Reggio Emilia parted ways. The player didn't pass medical tests and he will leave the club today. Staniulis arrived to Reggio Emilia earlier this week for 1-month tryout. The player spent last season with Panevezys Lietkabelis, where he averaged 8.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1 block for 21 LKL games. He was fourth shot blocker of the competition. The player added 9.6 ppg and 5.6 rpg for 16 Baltic league appearances. Before Panevezys Lietkabelis, Giedrius Staniulis spent two years with Perlas Vilnius. He had 11.4 ppg and 5.8 rpg for 12 Baltic league games in their second season together. His numbers in LKL were lower. In the past, Staniulis played for KKM-Aisciai Kauno and also for Zalgiris Kaunas juniors. He successfully played for U16, U18 and U20 Lithuanian National Teams from 2007 until the last summer. In 2008, he won the silver medal with U18 Lithuania at U18 EuroBasket in Amalaida Pyrgos. He also won the bronze medal with U16 Lithuania in 2007. Reggio Emilia is on the move now and they are expected to bring in the new player.
