Telfair has played previously professionally also in NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, LA Clippers, Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors) and China (TianJin Steel). On Telfair:
A very good guard, with fantastic scoring skills, quickness and good court vision; needs to improve his quarterbacking, because his future is at the point; the best scorer in the history of New York High School basketball; he's the cousin of NBA star Stephon Marbury.
Outlook (by NBADraft.TK):
Positives: Amazing court vision and ball handling skills. Telfair is lightning quick and his speed with the ball is as fast as any guard in the NBA. A very exciting player who can make flashy passes, and has a devastating crossover dribble. He is a great passer and one of the rare players who makes his teammates better. Telfair is without a doubt a pure point guard.
Negatives: Lacks the ideal size for a NBA player. His jumper is inconsistent and needs more range. Sometimes tries to do too much with the ball and can make bad decisions.
