It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in SerieA, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders.

Undefeated Banco di Sard. (5-1) recorded its first loss in Sassari on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by fifteenth ranked Enel Brindisi (2-4) 90-78. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Banco di Sard.. The game was mostly controlled by Enel Brindisi. Banco di Sard. managed to win second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Enel Brindisi looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Antywane Robinson (203-84, college: Temple, agency: Priority Sports) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import point guard Jonathan Gibson (182-87, college: N.Mexico St., agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Travis Diener (184-82, college: Marquette) who recorded 16 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Enel Brindisi moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Banco di Sard. at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. Enel Brindisi is looking forward to face Scavolini Pesaro (#10) at home in the next round. Banco di Sard. will play against Air Avellino (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Montepaschi Siena (4-2) against eighth ranked Armani Milano (3-3) on Monday night. Host Montepaschi Siena was defeated by Armani Milano in a tough game in Siena 66-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Montepaschi Siena. It was a good game for American-Montenegrin point guard Omar-Sharif Cook (188-82, college: St.John's, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 11 points and 5 assists. Malik Hairston contributed with 12 points for the winners. American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) replied with 26 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for Montepaschi Siena. Montepaschi Siena's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Armani Milano moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Trenkwalder RE. Defending champion Montepaschi Siena keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Armani Milano will play against Umana Venezia (#12) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Montepaschi Siena will play against Lottomatica Roma (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Sutor Montegranaro managed to get a second victory, breaking the four-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they won against twelfth-ranked Umana Venezia 89-83. Tamar Slay scored 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Alvin Young with 17 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sutor Montegranaro (2-4) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Umana Venezia. Sutor Montegranaro will meet at home higher ranked Trenkwalder RE (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Umana Venezia will play against Armani Milano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Caserta. Local Juvecaserta (2-4) lost to top-ranked Cimberio Varese (6-0) 73-56. Achille Polonara notched 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort. Juvecaserta's coach Stefano Sacripanti let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Undefeated Cimberio Varese have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Juvecaserta at the other side dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. Cimberio Varese's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Angelico Biella (#16) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Juvecaserta will play against SAIE3 BO (#5) in Bologna.

Rest of the games of round 6 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Pesaro was defeated by Trenkwalder RE in Reggio Emilia 71-59. Vanoli CR was beaten by Acea Virtus RM at home 67-75. Angelico BI lost to SAIE3 BO on the opponent's court 75-89. Cantu managed to outperform Sidigas AV in a home game 79-67.
The best stats of 6th round was 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds by Ricky Minard of SAIE3 BO.


Montepaschi - EA7 Armani 66-71

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Montepaschi Siena (4-2) against eighth ranked Armani Milano (3-3) on Monday night. Host Montepaschi Siena was defeated by Armani Milano in a tough game in Siena 66-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Montepaschi Siena. The guests were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-15 Montepaschi Siena's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 71-66 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American-Montenegrin point guard Omar-Sharif Cook (188-82, college: St.John's, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 11 points and 5 assists. American swingman Malik Hairston (198-87, college: Oregon) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Armani Milano players scored in double figures. Everything could happen in Reggio Emilia at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Trenkwalder RE and 8th ranked Scavolini Pesaro had identical 2-3 record. This time Trenkwalder RE used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Pesaro 71-59. The game was mostly controlled by Trenkwalder RE. Scavolini Pesaro was better in third quarter 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Scavolini Pesaro to just 7 points in second quarter. Trenkwalder RE forced 24 Scavolini Pesaro turnovers. American guard Donnel Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) notched 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American-Swiss Greg Brunner (201-83, college: Iowa) supported him with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Cimberio Varese players scored in double figures. Even 9 points and 14 rebounds by Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St.) did not help to save the game for Juvecaserta. No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Lottomatica Roma (4-2) defeated on the road 10th ranked Vanoli Cremona (2-4) 75-67. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Vanoli Cremona won fourth quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
