EA7 Emporio Armani Milan improved to 3-4 in group C of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague by defeating Cedetiva Zagreb with 75-60, and still has a chance to make it to the final 16. Milan made the difference in the third period. Antonis Fotsis (209-F-81) scored 15 points for Milan, Ioannis Bourousis (213-C-83, agency: FCM) and Keith Langford (193-SG-83, college: Kansas) added 11.
Zagreb opened the score in the first period, answered with a three pointer by Fotsis. After 5 minutes the score was tied at 11-11, after 7 minutes at 15-15. A big threepointer by Nicolo Melli gave Milan the after 9 minutes (20-18), and in the final minute, neither team managed to score.
The hosts increased the lead to 29-22 after 13 minutes, but Cedevita refused to surrender and once again tied the score in the 18th minute: 32-32. The guests grabbed the lead after that and managed to go to the locker room with a narrow 36-37 lead.
Omar Cook regained the lead for Milan with a threepointer in the third period. Cedevita tied once again after 24 minutes, 41-41, but Armani scored 8-1 and 12-0 runs run after that. With a 25-9 period score, the hosts finished the quarter 61-46 ahead.
The host continued their dominance in the fourth quarter. A threepointer by Keith Langford increased the gap to 20+ points after 34 minutes: 70-49. Cedevita was allowed to regain a little dignity in the final minutes, but at the final buzzer Emporio Armani Milan celebrated a clear and much needed win: 75-60.
