The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The game between third ranked Sigma Barcellona (6-3) and ninth ranked AcegasAps TR (5-4) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Sigma Barcellona was defeated by AcegasAps TR in Trieste 76-61. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sigma Barcellona. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 46-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. AcegasAps TR made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian point guard Ariel Filloy (189-87, agency: Interperformances) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Jobey Thomas (194-80, college: Charlotte) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Alessandro Cittadini (207-79) who recorded 16 points and 9 rebounds. AcegasAps TR moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Tezenis VE. Sigma Barcellona at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Givova Scafati and Novipiu Casale. AcegasAps TR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sigma Barcellona will play at home against Fileni BPA Jesi and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Biancoblu BO (6-2) against fifth ranked Givova Scafati (6-3) on Sunday night. Host Biancoblu BO was defeated by Givova Scafati in Bologna 88-71. It was a good game for American forward Ronald Slay (203-81, college: Tennessee, agency: David Lee services) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Keddric Mays contributed with 17 points for the winners. American guard Ricky Harris (188-87, college: Massachusetts) answered with 25 points for Biancoblu BO. Biancoblu BO's coach Stefano Salieri rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Givova Scafati moved-up to third place, which they share with Novipiu Casale and Sigma Barcel. Biancoblu BO at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Givova Scafati will play against Novipiu Casale (#5) at home in the next round. Biancoblu BO will play against Prima Veroli and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Upea CdO managed to get a second victory on Sunday night. This time newly promoted Upea CdO outleveled fourth-ranked C.de Latte BRE in Capo d'Orlando 97-72. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 25-point difference suggests that Upea CdO is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of C.de Latte BRE. Alex Young stepped up and scored 28 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The best for the losing side was J.R. Giddens with 16 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Upea CdO (2-7) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Aget Service IM. Loser C.de Latte BRE dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Pall.Trento. Upea CdO will meet higher ranked LeGamberi Foods Forlì (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. C.de Latte BRE will play against Aget Service IM (#13) in Imola and hope to secure a win.
The game in Trento was also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Tezenis VE (5-4) played at the court of eighth ranked Pall.Trento (5-3). Pall.Trento managed to secure a 8-point victory 78-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tezenis VE. Luca Garri nailed 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Pall.Trento have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with C.de Latte BRE. Tezenis VE at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Pall.Trento's next round opponent will be league's leader Tuscany Pistoia on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tezenis VE will play against FCM Ferentino (#15).
Important game to mention about took place in Ferentino. Fourteenth ranked Aget Service IM (2-7) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 13th ranked FCM Ferentino (1-7) 88-87 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Paul Marigney who scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. Aget Service IM moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Upea CdO. FCM Ferentino lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Aget Service IM will face higher ranked C.de Latte BRE (#6) in Brescia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. FCM Ferentino will play on the road against Tezenis VE (#9) in Verona.

In the last two games of round 9 Prima Veroli defeated Fileni BPA Jesi in a road game 69-64. Novipiu Casale beat LeGanberi FO at home 77-68.
The best stats of 9th round was 20 points and 11 assists by Talor Battle of Upea CdO.
