Lega 2 top team - Tuscany Pistoia (8-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Pall.Trento (5-4) 96-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Pall.Trento. The game without a history. Tuscany Pistoia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Giacomo Galanda (211-75) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Panamanian swingman Michael Hicks (194-76, college: Texas A&M-CC) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Luigi Dordei (202-81) replied with 18 points for Pall.Trento. Tuscany Pistoia have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. Newly promoted Pall.Trento keeps the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with AcegasAps TR and C.de Latte BRE. Tuscany Pistoia are looking forward to face Sigma Barcellona (#4) on the road in the next round. Pall.Trento will play against Novipiu Casale and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between C.de Latte BRE (5-4) and Aget Service IM (3-7), which took place in Imola. Higher ranked C.de Latte BRE lost to thirteenth ranked Aget Service IM in a road game 60-67. American guard D.J. Gay (183-89, college: San Diego St.) scored 24 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Paul Marigney chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman J.R. Giddens (196-85, college: N.Mexico) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Aget Service IM moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. C.de Latte BRE at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with AcegasAps TR and Pall.Trento. Aget Service IM will play against higher ranked LeGamberi Foods Forlì (#10) in Forli in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. C.de Latte BRE will play at home against the league's second-placed Biancoblu BO having rather not much hope for a victory.
Another upset was a game between LeGamberi Foods Forlì (3-6) and Upea CdO (3-7), which took place in Forli. Higher ranked LeGamberi Foods Forlì lost at home to fourteenth ranked Upea CdO 71-76 on Saturday. Donte Mathis notched 18 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds by Miroslav Todic did not help to save the game for LeGamberi Foods Forlì. Upea CdO moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser LeGamberi Foods Forlì keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Upea CdO will meet bottom-ranked FCM Ferentino (#15) on the road in the next round. LeGamberi Foods Forlì will play against Aget Service IM (#14) in Imola and hope to secure a win.
The game between ninth ranked Tezenis VE (6-4) and 15th ranked FCM Ferentino (1-8) in Verona ended with biggest points difference. Tezenis VE outscored guests from Ferentino 79-60. Matteo Da Ros fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Tezenis VE's coach Alessandro Ramagli allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Tezenis VE moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Novipiu Casale. FCM Ferentino lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Tezenis VE's next round opponent will be higher ranked Givova Scafati (#3) at home and it may be quite challenging game. FCM Ferentino will play against Upea CdO (#13) in Capo d'Orlando and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games in round 10 were not that significant. Biancoblu BO beat Prima Veroli on the road 81-71. Sigma Barcel. won against Fileni BPA Jesi on its own court 92-75. Novipiu Casale unfortunately lost to Givova Scafati in a road game 80-86.

Aget Service IM - C.de Latte BRE 67-60

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between C.de Latte BRE (5-4) and Aget Service IM (3-7), which took place in Imola. Higher ranked C.de Latte BRE lost to thirteenth ranked Aget Service IM in a road game 60-67. C.de Latte BRE was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 25-10 charge of Aget Service IM, which allowed them to win the game.
